hello! if you’re still writing for the mandalorian, could u do lee!din and ler!cara with the dialogue “can you stop laughing? i’m trying to talk to you. how rude!” and “was that a snort?” (if u don’t want to use both dialogues that’s perfectly fine, u can choose whichever u prefer 🙃)
If Only For a Moment
anon: for the writing requests, if ur still into the mandalorian, if u don’t mind could u do lee!din and ler!cara with the dialogue “wow. you are super ticklish.” please?
Cara’s actor can eat my boot and choke she’s a terrible person BUT I am soft for the friendship these two could’ve had and thus I am taking full custody of Cara. Enjoy!! My first mando fic somehow. AU where they stay on Sorgan for a while/come back to Sorgan to rest.
“Hey.” Cara drops heavily onto the bench beside Din. He makes a soft noise to acknowledge her but doesn’t turn.
Sorgan had set a sort of peace into his bones that he wasn’t sure how to handle. He’s afraid of handling it, truly. Peace isn’t a luxury because you have to earn it--it’s a luxury because it makes you slow. It makes you take survival for granted. You earn peace when you no longer need to survive.
But sitting here on this ridge, overlooking a village finally at peace…it clashes against everything he knows to be true. Their huts are still smoldering in places. The villagers have built barricades around some of the deeper gouges in the earth and done their best to fill them with water. Some of the children have already found their way into the shallower pits to play with the mud and frogs. Din can hear their laughter from up here, wavelengths dancing across the right side of his visor display.
“You gonna sit out here all day?” Cara’s eyes rest heavy on the side of his face.
“Just keeping an eye on things.” His gaze dips towards the treeline. It’s clear. The only heat signatures there are creatures returning to their natural home. Everything is fine. It has been. But he knows that never lasts.
“You’ve been keeping an eye on things for a few days. You’ve earned a break.” She claps him on the shoulder once, brief and firm.
A loud shriek startles them and they both tense with the instinct to rise, but they both know the voices of the village children by now. A pack of them chase each other around a few specific huts--their homes, probably--making blaster noises and shouts that carry on the wind. They watch the grimness of war become a thing of innocence in their hands.
“Were you ever like that?” Cara points.
“Like what?” He follows her finger, then squints back at her. “A child?”
She chuckles at him, but her smile stays earnest.
“Yeah. Did you ever get to be a child?” She tilts her head a bit. Din’s breath catches. They’d talked about personal matters before, but never like this. Their routine was showing their hand, constantly reassuring each other that their mutual interest in saving the galaxy was still mutual. It was always a transaction, never…interest. Is she baiting him in some way? Possibly trying to leech some sort of future blackmail material? Cara lacks that kind of tact from what he can tell, but one can never be too careful. Which opens up more questions still, each unfolding upon and into each other in endless fractals. One question in particular peers up at him beneath the layers, utterly unsettling.
Why do you care?
“Everyone’s a child at some point. That’s the order of things.” He drops his gaze to the ground. Thinking too much will cost him. He knows that.
“Now we both know that’s not true, Mando.” She shifts her weight on the bench and it brings them closer together. Something solemn rests its hands on both of their shoulders, seeping into the collective lifetimes of scars and battered muscle between them. He knows that he’s feeding it, this thing, and it turns his gut with unease.
“Din,” he says quickly, before he can stop himself. He can hear Cara’s confusion without needing to see it.
“My name. It’s Din.”
“It suits you.” She bumps their shoulders together. He looks at her and allows a smile.
Another shriek, shriller this time, sends them both jumping to their feet. One of the village boys had been pounced on by the other children, sending a knot of screeching limbs rolling down the hillside. Panic leaps into Din’s throat. He starts making his way towards the edge of the ridge.
“Din, it’s okay . It’s just--they’re playing. It’s fine.” Cara grabs his shoulder. He lets her lead him back to the bench but his eyes never leave the children. A young boy collapses under the weight of his friends and shouts, piercing through the air. Din flinches. Laughter bursts up from their chaotic little pile but the shrillness still raises his hackles.
“They’re tickling each other, I think. Explains the screaming. Not sure how much more of that I can take, though.” Cara chuckles and looks to Din as if he’d be in on whatever she’s saying. He stares blankly at her.
She extends her hands to him, as if asking for something. He doesn’t do what she wants, mostly because he can’t for the life of him grasp what she wants. She takes his wrists and pulls his hands towards her. She peels off his gloves, minding the beskar as if it were glass, and cradles his hands in her own for a moment. Looking up at him apprehensively, she trails her calloused fingertips over his palms, his fingers, even down to his pulse point on his wrist. It’s…soothing in a way, but he senses from the wrinkle between her brow that he’s not doing this right, somehow.
“I…don’t have much feeling in my hands anymore.” He furrows his brow. Cara makes a pitying noise that he decidedly doesn’t like. He resists the urge to immediately pull his gloves back on. Obviously he didn’t respond the way she wanted.
“Shame.” She shrugs. That solemn thing between them starts to turn the shade of melancholy. They have enough of that between them, Din thinks. He stares down at the rough canvas of his hands, then hers.
“What is it supposed to feel like?” He mimics what she did, tracing his fingers over his own palms. It’s different in a way he can’t quite categorize. Cara blinks with something like disbelief and awe--he really wishes people would stop looking at him that way.
“Alright, well. Don’t kill me, okay?” A hint of an impish smile creeps onto her face. She scoots slightly closer on the bench.
“Why would I--”
Din chokes on a high-pitched noise not unlike the ones ringing down from the hillside. Cara’s fingers gently ripple into the divots between the plates of beskar, finding seams of muscle in his sides that make his brain collapse into a heap of sparks.
“What…is this?” He trembles but doesn’t move, just tries to process the sheer volume of stimuli racing through him all at once. Snickers escape without his permission and he hunches over to try and keep his every atom from spilling out into her hands.
“Wow. You are super ticklish.” Cara laughs. Her fingers keep a rhythmic pace.
“Say the word and I’ll stop.” Something concerned crosses her face before she can hide it from him. He wants to tell her it’s okay, or reassure her somehow that this is…a lot but okay--at least for now--but all he can do is rattle in place as if he’s about to launch into orbit.
Her fingers migrate towards his stomach and his resolve cracks along with his voice. He giggles fervently past bitten lips and collapses into her hands. It’s not lightning, he knows lightning well, but this feeling moves like it. His body seems eager to disseminate it and lessen the impact, but unlike lightning, the electric bursts under his skin have no means of escape. Her hands are on his stomach but he feels the laughter in his veins.
“C-Cara!” He grabs her wrists for something to hold onto. She swoops her fingers under his arms, tripping up his ribs like a ladder. He flails and nearly takes both of them off the bench. It’s worse, so much worse, and he fights the building urge to flee or mitigate the feeling somehow. It’s not harming him. It doesn’t remotely feel like it. He…trusts her.
Until she gets under his arms and he cackles, that is.
“Oh wow. Bad spot, huh?” She giggles with him, a sound he could never truly picture her making. Then again, he could never picture an existence like hers before this either. Certainly never like this. But here he was, soft where he swore he’d never be, melting in the hands of a shocktrooper no longer covered in blood.
Cara does this thing with her fingers, like she’s fiddling with a stuck button for landing gear, and Din snorts. His entire body buckles and he clasps his hands over his helmet. As if it’ll help muffle him.
“Did you just snort?” She presses in again and his head collides with her shoulder. He wheezes and it crackles into the air. More snorts filter out of him and his laughter bounces unexpectedly, responding to Cara’s hands like a fine-tuned weapon in the hands of a master.
“Your ‘tough and mysterious’ act is going to work on me anymore. Just so you’re aware. I respect you, but this…your laugh is so cute, it’s sickening. I mean--” She pauses when Din flails again, sending her grabbing onto his thigh just to keep them both upright. He squeals and his leg twitches violently. She makes a noise of interest that makes his face burn beneath the helmet.
“Can you stop laughing? I’m tryin’ to talk to you. Rude.” She squeezes his thigh again but this time she doesn’t stop. Din squeals again, much louder, and he collapses into the bench. A wave of desperate, garbled noises escape him before his laughter takes full flight. He shakes with the force of it.
“I-I’m trying!” He wails. She helps him sit up with a laugh somehow more tickled than his.
“Oh my god--Din, I’m kidding. It’s okay.” She grips his shoulders and shakes him a little. He nods a little dumbly, trying to remember what it felt like to have control of his limbs.
“You still with us in there?” She taps his helmet. He swats her hand away.
“I think so. That was…something.” He nods. He finds that his smile won’t leave. It’s…nice. Cara pats his shoulder. He leans into it.
“It’s not always so much. Sometimes it’s nice.” Cara hums thoughtfully, then gestures to her neck. “Can I show you? Here?”
He regards her for a while, then nods.
“Gently. Careful.” He warns, holding her wrists loosely.
“I’m always careful,” Cara smirks. It would be terrifying if he didn’t already trust her so deeply. She tips his helmet up slowly, slowly, so much so that he almost wants to chide her for treating him so fragile. The low hums of the internal fan click and lose speed as warm air curls against the underside of his chin. His breath hitches when she lifts the helmet a little more, but it sinks lower again as she balances it against her knuckles. With her free hand, she curls her fingers beneath his chin with the lightest of touches.
He dissolves into giggles easier than breathing, which does not come easy with Cara’s blunt fingernails dance against the scruff on the slope of his neck. Even as he scrunches to trap her fingers, the hand holding his helmet slightly aloft works to bolster the flow of breathy, muffled laughter seeping from the gap in the helmet.
The sounds of war seem far away with the dragonflies fluttering in his chest. For the first time, Din allows it to remain that way.
@parkersaysthings tagging u bc you asked! hope u enjoy! <3
Hoo boy. Y'all it's been a really, really awful 8 months or so. I had to take an impromtu hiatus for a variety of reasons, but I'm okay and in a much better place now.
I'm so, so sorry for how late this is @fanficsandfluff @ticklesofcolor especially after the absolutely lovely fic you wrote me for this event. I owe you big time, so if you like this I already started working on part two of this fic. I hope you like it and again, I can't express how sorry am for the delay.
Fandom: Star Wars/The Mandalorian
Pairing: Luke/Din (Grogu makes an appearance)
Word count: 2.7k (I know it's a little long, but I needed to establish a bit of a relationship between them for me to write about them)
Din was shocked when a few months after being separated from Grogu, he received a comm on his new ship from none other than Luke Skywalker himself. He now knew the Jedi’s name, after Cara told him about the apparently legendary man. The stories she and others told him sounded too fantastical to be true but after seeing the things Grogu could do with his powers then Luke’s feats when he rescued them all, Din was inclined to believe them.
“How did you find this comm channel?” he asked Luke.
Luke just smiled and said, “I have my ways.”
Luke explained that though Grogu was coming along well with his training, the child missed Din so much it was holding him back. Luke didn’t have the same negative feelings about attachments that the Jedi of the past did, and felt Din’s presence in Grogu’s life would be beneficial to his training, not a hinderance. When Luke asked Din to come visit them, Din jumped at the opportunity. He missed his little green foundling more than he could possibly put into words, and with winning the Darksaber and the pressure from some of his people to claim the title of Mand’alor, Din was happy to drop everything and fly to the coordinates Luke sent him.
When Grogu saw Din, he ran as fast as his little legs would take him into Din’s arms that were waiting to embrace him, giggling in excitement. When Grogu asked silently for him to take off his helmet, there were tears of joy streaming down Din’s face. Luke watched from the corner of the room with a fond smile on his face. Because Grogu and Luke could communicate through the Force, Grogu told Luke stories of his adventures with Din. Luke almost felt like he knew the Mandalorian.
Weeks went by. Grogu and Din would spend time together just the two of them, and when it was time for him to train with Luke, Din would sit to the side and observe, assisting in training when it was appropriate. Grogu really had learned a lot. One day Luke had Grogu levitate Din and the overeager child quickly threw Din about ten feet in the air before he fell to the floor with a loud clang. It was an accident of course, the child would never intentionally hurt Din. Luke gasped and he and Grogu both ran over to Din who was holding his stomach.
“Din, I’m so sorry!” Luke said looking him over for any obvious injuries. “I thought he’d be able to do it. I mean...he’s lifted a full-grown mudhorn before. I...”
Luke stopped when he heard Din’s wheezing laughter coming from his helmet. Luke sighed in relief before Din inhaled and hysterical laughter came pouring out of his mouth. Din couldn’t remember the last time he’d laughed so hard, and Luke couldn’t recall ever falling in love with someone’s laugh like he did when he heard Din’s for the first time. Luke, Din, and Grogu had to pause training for about five minutes, all of them incapacitated with laughter. The only thing that would have made the moment perfect was if Luke could have seen Din’s face as he laughed, but he knew the Mandalorian had worn his helmet for most of his life now. Even if he didn’t wear it all the time anymore, the habit and comfort of it caused him to keep it on most of the time, usually only removing it when Grogu asked.
In the evenings after Grogu went to sleep, Din and Luke would spend time together getting to know each other, sharing stories of their pasts, and training Din to fight with the Darksaber. Luke never looked into Din’s mind with his powers, feeling like that was an invasion of the man’s privacy, but he could sense Din’s emotions whether he tried to or not. And he could sense some new feelings radiating from Din as time went by that made Luke feel warm all over. Even without Jedi powers, Din felt them coming from Luke too.
One evening after rocking Grogu to sleep, Din went to Luke as he was reading some ancient Jedi texts. He sat down on the couch next to him and Luke looked up to realize Din had removed all of his armor, helmet included, wearing only the black shirt and pants he wore beneath his armor. Luke tried to hide his shock but failed. He’d seen Din without his helmet a handful of times but had never seen him like this.
Luke gulped and tried to keep himself from blushing as he looked at him, setting the texts he was reading aside. “You uh...removed your armor.” He said, stating the obvious. Very smooth Luke.
Din looked down at his clothes. “Yeah. I uh...I guess I just wanted to give it a try.”
But Luke could feel that it was more than that. That Din wanted Luke to see him: physically and more.
“You should do it more often. Going without your armor I mean,” Luke said nervously. “You look...nice.”
Din smiled bashfully as he felt the fabric on his thigh with his fingers. “It’s fine, I guess. Definitely not as fashionable as...whatever this is,” Din said jokingly before reaching over and grabbing Luke’s robe, dangerously close to Luke’s side. Out of instinct, Luke recoiled.
Din saw Luke shift away from his hand and immediately felt guilty. Maybe sudden movements scared him or something. “I’m sorry Luke, I didn’t mean to startle you,” he said as he pulled his hand away.
Luke could sense that Din felt bad. “Oh no, Din it’s fine. You didn’t do anything wrong, and you didn’t startle me exactly. I just thought...” A strange grin came over Luke’s face, that Din couldn’t quite read. “I uh...thought you were going to tickle me, is all.”
Din smiled and Luke could sense the anxiety of the moment leaving the Mandalorian’s body. “Oh, I see. No, I wasn’t going to do that.”
Luke couldn’t deny how surprised he was that Din didn’t initiate an attack right then and there. Growing up on Tatooine, Luke was often a favorite target of his friends. He’d even been tickled to tears a few times during his time fighting for the rebellion. Despite his protests, Luke didn’t actually hate it. In fact, he kind of liked it though he’d never admit it. It always made him happy and feel loved. He wondered if it made Din feel the same. This was a prime opportunity with Din out of his armor and without his helmet. And he’d been wondering what Din looked like when he laughed since the day Grogu made him during training.
“Are you ticklish Din?” Luke asked.
Din rubbed the back of his neck. “I uh...don’t know to be honest. No one has tickled me since I was a child.”
Luke could sense Din’s intrigue. “Do you want to find out?” he asked him gently.
Din chuckled timidly. He couldn’t deny his curiosity. He couldn’t remember what the sensation felt like, it had been so long. He also couldn’t deny how the idea of the handsome Jedi’s touch, however innocent, kind of excited him.
Din looked up at Luke and felt butterflies in his stomach as he looked at his soft smile. Luke already knew Din’s answer before he spoke. “Ok,” Din finally said in a softspoken voice.
Luke’s smiled. “If you need me to stop or slow down just tell me.” He didn’t want to torture Din after all, and it wouldn’t be as fun if Din wasn’t having fun too. Din nodded his head.
Luke was just staring at Din at first and Din wondered if Luke had decided he wasn’t going to do this. It seemed the butterflies that had been in Din’s stomach were fluttering even more than before, and it increased in intensity until Din realized what he was feeling in his stomach wasn’t anticipation or the nervousness of being around the Jedi he’d unknowingly started developing feelings for. He doubled over and wrapped his arms around his stomach.
Luke’s smile widened as he used the Force to continue intensifying the tickling gradually. “You doing okay there Din?” Din nodded his head and had his lips pressed together, trying to hold in the giggles that were threatening to spill from his mouth. Luke laughed. “You know, the point is to laugh when someone tickles you. That’s what’s fun about it.”
Din did in fact know that but after years of being a stoic bounty hunter, he’d gotten used to holding in his laughter for appearances, and old habits died hard with him. Luke knew Din was doing alright so he decided to up the ante. He started wiggling his fingers up and down one side of Din ribs gently. Din sputtered a laugh before pressing his lips together again.
Luke couldn’t contain his own laughter. He’s stubborn this one. “Come on Din, you know you want to laugh.” Luke could see the teasing was getting to him. “Just let it out. Here, I’ll help you.”
With that Luke dug his fingers into Din’s sensitive ribs and Din couldn’t contain himself anymore. He exploded into laughter and raised his hands to cover his face. Luke moved in front of Din so he could get both sides and Din moved his hands to Luke’s elbows, burying his face into Luke’s shoulder to hide his face and muffle his laughter. Din was wiggling around to instinctively avoid Luke’s fingers, but never protested or pushed him away.
Luke was addicted to the sound of Din’s laugh already. It was low and musical and though he loved the sound of it, he wanted to see Din’s face. Maybe if he tried another spot, he’d get the chance.
Luke moved his fingers to Din’s stomach and Din fell back against the couch and started rolling around, shaking his head, and Luke could finally gaze on Din’s face. He looked beautiful and much younger laughing like this, even with the lines around his deep brown eyes as they squinted shut. Though it tickled, it wasn’t as intense as his ribs had been and his laugh switched to more of a high-pitched giggle. It embarrassed him to hear it.
“This is silly,” Din said in between giggles before squealing when Luke found a particularly bad spot near one of his hips.
“It’s supposed to be,” Luke said chuckling. He tickled his hips for some time before reaching up to scribble his fingers under Din’s arms. This earned Luke the biggest reaction so far. Din was weak with laughter and felt himself sliding down to the floor, unable to stop himself. Despite how badly it tickled, Din continued to just laugh and wiggle around. Din thought to himself that this was actually pretty fun. He didn’t get the chance to let loose and have fun like this...well ever really.
Luke moved his hands to the Mandalorian’s neck and Din snickered. As much fun as Din was having, he was glad Luke had found a spot that wasn’t so devastating so he could catch his breath a bit. Luke smiled at him adoringly before saying, “So I think the answer to the question, ‘Is Din Djarin ticklish?’ is a resounding yes.”
Din could feel his cheeks start to burn. “Why do you have to do that?” he said still laughing, covering his face to hide his blushing.
Luke laughed. “You did give me permission, remember?” Luke started tickling the parts of Din’s cheeks that weren’t covered by his hands.
Din shook his head a little, both as a response and to get away from Luke’s devious fingers. “Not the tickling,” he said as Luke started tickling under his chin. “The teasing.”
“That’s part of the experience my friend. Makes it tickle a lot more, doesn’t it?” All Din could do was nod his head. Luke straddled Din’s thighs, about to go for his underarms again but then realized how out of breath Din was and decided to check in on him.
“You okay big guy?” Luke said. Luke was pretty sure if Din was in distress at any point, he’d have known but he still wanted to make sure.
Din was panting, stray giggles coming from the wide smile still on his face. “Is that all the legendary Luke Skywalker’s got?” he said.
Luke gave him a mischievous grin that made Din second-guess antagonizing him like that. “I was actually going easy on you, but seeing as you seem to want a challenge...” Din started giggling in anticipation. “I was gonna try your underarms again since that seemed to get a good reaction out of you...but maybe I can find an even better spot.” Luke looked down at Din’s thighs and scooted back onto his shins. He started tracing his fingers up and down Din’s thighs and knees. “What about here?” Din started giggling and rolling around on the floor again. When Luke gave both of his thighs a gently squeeze, Din snorted. Luke’s face lit up like he’d just been given a gift from the Force itself as Din’s eyes grew wide.
“Oh, I have a feeling this is the spot I was looking for,” Luke said before digging into the meat of Din’s thighs. Din snorted again before alternating between cackling and screaming. “Yup, this is definitely the spot I was looking for,” Luke said before laughing almost as hard as Din was. This laugh was very different from the others Luke had pulled out of him. Nowhere near as musical, but he adored the sound of it and the mixed look of enjoyment and panic on Din’s face. Din was able to resist fighting back before, but now he couldn’t help himself from trying to push Luke’s hands away even though he was still having fun. Luke’s nimble fingers pinched up and down his thighs and when he found a spot on Din’s right upper thigh that was particularly ticklish, Luke used both of his hands to dig into it. This broke Din completely. He let out another snort and screamed, before falling into silent laughter, tears beginning to fill his eyes, too exhausted to fight back anymore.
It was a strange feeling for Din to just succumb to something. His mind was blank, all that existed in his universe at this moment was the maddening sensations on his thigh and the man who was doing it to him. Just when Din was about to start begging Luke for mercy, Luke stopped and got off of him.
Luke sat on the floor beside him as Din continued to laugh, his body still twitching from the phantom tickles that were lingering. Luke took a moment to admire his work: the feared bounty hunter known all over the galaxy, the possible future ruler of Mandalore laying on his floor, a giggly mess. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Luke laughed and patted Din on the shoulder. “I gotta admit,” Luke started saying. “You held out a lot longer than I would have. Maybe Mandalorians are as tough as the stories say.”
Din laughed and wiped away the perspiration that had accumulated on his forehead during the ordeal with his sleeve. Then his eyes grew wide when Luke’s words registered in his brain, and he remembered what started this whole thing in the first place.
“So...you’re more ticklish than I am?”
Luke laughed, somehow oblivious to the idea rolling around Din’s brain. But that was typical for him in these situations. “Oh yeah. Much worse. I remember this one time back on Tatooine I...” Luke was unable to finish his sentence before Din had tackled him to the ground. Luke could have fought back and for a brief moment, he thought about it before resigning himself to the playful torture that awaited him. Not that he minded.
Din pinned him down and Luke was now the one with butterflies in his stomach. “Did you know the Jedi and Mandalorians were once enemies? I think between that and what you just did to me, I’ve earned the right to seek a little revenge.”
Heeeere we are! I hope you enjoy @twordficsnooneaskedfor !!! I really don't know the character of Ahsoka (never watched Clone Wars) but I tried my best! Thank you to @ticklesofcolor (@tickle-bugs and @peachytickles respectively) for hosting this super awesome event!
Fandom: Star Wars, The Mandalorian
Characters: The Mandalorian (Din Djarin), Ahsoka Tano, Grogu (The Child)
Words: 1,551
Ahsoka spent time with the youngling, listening. She did much listening, she realized, as the poor child could not communicate with anyone else, nor had he actually been able to speak in quite a long while. He was releasing and explaining. He spoke of the horrors, the not-so horrors. It was all feelings inside him, and then the Mandalorian would come into the picture. Grogu perked up.
“He’s made you happy,” Ahsoka smiled softly as the youngling nodded, cooing in agreement.
She listened some more and then cocked her head at something he said, “You want to make him happy?”
Grogu again nodded his little head, ears flopping.
Ahsoka placed two of her fingers on top of Grogu’s small hand, smiling at him, “I’m sure you’ve already made him happy, little one.”
The child’s head bowed, gurgling something like disappointment. He wasn’t enough. He was a burden… well, the Mandolorian has willingly protected him for this long… maybe less of a burden than he thought.
“Let’s meet with the Mandalorian for food. We’ll discuss options later,” and Ahsoka picked the child up and made her way back to the ship where said topic of conversation was cooking for them. It was a meager meal of hunted creatures, and they sat around a small burning fire.
The Mandalorian picked piece by piece of meat off the bone for the youngling. It turned out the child was eating the meat faster than the Mandalorian could tear it.
“Hungry, are we?” the tinny voice filtered through the helmet. Grogu made a noise of contentment. The next chunk given to the child was eaten at a purposely humorous fast pace, and both of them knew exactly what was going on.
“You’re very funny,” a gloved finger brushed under the child’s chin and the child giggled.
Ahsoka looked on, eating her own small cooked animal, crunching on the singed skin. She smiled when she heard the Mandalorian chuckle. He has already proven worthy of the child’s love and attention based on the way he helped him channel the Force during training.
The Jedi set her meal down and brushed off her hands, staring at the Mandalorian. Focusing, Ahsoka poised the fingers of one hand inconspicuously, aiming, and… The Mandalorian’s hand chased away an invisible bug on his neck, eyes searching for the culprit. Ahsoka bit the inside of her cheek… she can work with this.
“What do you need me to do?” Din asked the next morning, standing in the clearing in the woods with Ahsoka and Grogu.
“Your participation will be crucial for today’s training,” Ahsoka reassured, holding back a smile.
Ahsoka knelt down next to Grogu, who was placed onto a large rock. She whispered something into his ear. Grogu exclaimed in what to Din seemed like joy. Maybe he already knew whatever it was Ahsoka was telling him to do?
“Mando,” Ahsoka spoke louder now, “I’m going to demonstrate to him first.”
“Okay,” Din said, standing still. He didn’t know what was supposed to happen, but he waited.
Ahsoka pointed her hand towards him and he felt a crawling up his sides and back. He jerked, surprised, bewildered… all-around confused.
“You okay?” Ahsoka asked with a very visible smile on her face now.
“Y-Yeah.. Was it--? Is it supposed to feel so…” Din didn’t know how to describe what he felt so he wiggled his fingers in the air, “Scratchy?”
Ahsoka huffed a small laugh and Grogu made a noise, as well.
“Well, yes. But it’s very important you stay still.”
“Okay. Can you tell me what it is you’re teaching him?”
Ahsoka looked to the child to get his approval of what to say. Answer honestly? Grogu said no.
“It’s a Force touch. Like he’s feeling out into the world without having to move.”
Din nodded, “Alright. Just be more… careful, I guess.”
“Show one more time? Very well,” Ahsoka made up that part of conversation with the youngling as she once again poised her hand and made sparks fly all around the Mandalorian’s shielded sides and ribs. It encompassed him, feeling like they weren’t really touching him at first. It was like a breeze being blown all over his torso. But then the feeling zeroed in and Din barked out an obvious laugh. He hunched over, elbows pressing into his sides.
“W-Wahahait!”
Ahsoka was shaking her head, “If you cannot handle what I am demonstrating, I’m sure you’ll do much better with Grogu.”
“It feeheels so strange,” Din regained himself, clearing his throat after standing straight.
“That may happen from time to time,” Ahsoka smiled but her mind was on a slightly different track now, “What was it?”
“I don’t know. Like a buzzing. Not so much like touch, though.”
“I see,” Ahsoka raised her hand again, “It feels like this?” and Din was once again squirming, but this time trying to hold back his laughter at the feeling on his belly now.
“Yehes!” he croaked.
“It seems like it’s tickling you,” Ahsoka said what she was doing this whole time, stopping the sensations again.
“Tickling? No, isn’t that… that’s what babies feel.”
So, he really didn’t know. Her thought was correct.
“Grogu,” she knelt again by the child, “Would you like to try?”
The child shut his eyes like he usually did when he had to concentrate on the Force. He did that first to get the feeling in his bones and then opened them to aim it at the Mandalorian. Din stood still, fighting the very soft feelings. He didn’t move, didn’t laugh. Thank goodness for the helmet because they couldn’t see him smiling and biting on his lip.
“Kihihid!” he burst out laughing when there felt like a sharp, focused jab to his hips. Grogu giggled.
The Mandalorian couldn’t stay still. He could try and suppress the laughter, but he just couldn’t not squirm. He looked honestly very silly, squirming about, taking little hops and steps here and there. Ahsoka even snickered.
“You’re moving, Mando,” Ahsoka teased.
Grogu was enamored by the display. He’d never really heard the Mandalorian laugh before. He’d chuckle from time to time. But this was different. This was wilder.
“Y-You’re doing this on p-puhurpose!” Mando accused, arms secured to his middle.
Ahsoka started walking closer to the Mandalorian, “Grogu wanted to make you happy. This was our solution.”
Din’s heart warmed at hearing that. The kid only wanted to make sure he was happy. I guess it was hard to gauge under the helmet and all. He couldn’t always tell if he was smiling. But that warm heart was quickly frozen over once more when there were pinch-like motions on his lower ribs. This time those were real touches. From Ahsoka.
“Hahang on! I didn’t say you could actually do that,” he started backing away from the Jedi.
“Oh, my apologies. Grogu may continue,” Ahsoka smirked. Maybe Din should’ve just shut up.
Grogu giggled and tried again. He could really only get forceful pokes and jabs out with his Force; that or it was a spread-out attack. Both were devastating to Din.
The Mandalorian made the movements to walk over to Grogu on his rock to get him to stop. But he was taken down to his knees with laughter and weakness to tickling only halfway there.
Din hadn’t felt anything like this before. Maybe distantly, in a memory and a world he seldom remembered. He knows the touch of a small bug walking over his fingers, the feeling of water rushing against his bare skin when he bathes. He even could recognize a playful shove or pat on the shoulder or back.
The proud Mandalorian was now flat on his back, too tired to protest or fight back. He could only laugh. Grogu found a way to change directions so he moved the Force touch downward and Din squeaked, turning over onto his side, curling up.
“Stohohop! Kid, please! Hahahaha!” Din begged, the touch fluttering down his thighs to the backs of his knees. He was giggling now. Grogu was most definitely mocking him with his own giggles.
“I think that’s enough, Grogu,” Ahsoka finally stepped in. Who knows how long the kid would’ve continued if she didn’t stop him?
“Y-You’re just as bad as him,” Din coughed out, sitting up in the dirt.
Din would’ve loved to take off his helmet and breathe fresh air, to gulp it into his lungs, now sore from laughter. He felt another touch at his knee and he almost swatted it away before he realized it was Grogu’s hand. The kid had waddled his way over to him. Checking on him, it seemed, by the look on the kid’s face. Din picked him up and sat him in his lap.
“I’m okay, kid.”
Grogu tilted his head, reaching up to touch the helmet.
“I’m happy, too. You got what you wanted,” Din poked a finger into the kid’s belly and made him giggle, “How do you like it?” he chortled.
Grogu leaned into Mando after cooing a little to the pokes, shutting his eyes. Mission accomplished. His masked protector was happy and it was because of him. That felt good.
Din shifted so he was looking at Ahsoka. She was looking right back, a soft smile gracing her features. And he smiled. Definitely happy.
Mando opened the ship doors and walked inside. He placed the child back into it’s pod before he began taking off his gear. He had gotten a wound from fighting off more raiders in the village and he now needed to tend to it. The child watched him curiously as Mando took off his bag and chest plate placing it on the ship’s floor. Mando walked over to one of the compartments in the ship’s wall and took out a tin box before returning to his previous spot. He opened the tin box and took out some gauze and disinfectant spray before he sat down on a box next to the child. Mando lifted his shirt up just enough to reveal the wound on his upper side before spraying the wound with the disinfectant. He winced a little from the sting but started to clean up the blood on his wound. The child watched closely with worried eyes. The child made a little noise causing Mando to look over.
“Whats up kid?” Mando asked. The child closed his eyes and began raising his little arm.
“No, No kid, I’m fine.” Mando insisted gently pushing the child’s hand down. He appreciated the kid wanting to help, but it was just a small wound. The child squeaked as Mando turned to open the box again to get some bandage.
The child stood up and made its way over to Mando. Once the child got to him he hugged Mando’s side.
“Kid?” Mando asked as he stared down at the kid’s big eyes.
“I’m fine kid, really.” Mando reassured again, gently patting it’s back, the kid gargled happily and gently nuzzled its head into Mando’s bare side.
Mando twitched away with a strained chuckle from the ticklish feeling of the kid’s head against his side. The kid looked up at him with his little smile. Happy to hear him laugh. Mando sighed before he finished dressing his wound still with the kid practically glued to him.
Mando let his shirt fall back down as he packed up the box not realizing the fabric would land on the kid’s head.
The child giggled before grabbing Mando’s shirt trying to pull it off his face. Mando jumped as he felt the child wriggling against his side again.
“Hey! Kid, watch it!” Mando said turning around before picking up the child.
“You don’t do that.” Mando gently scolded before putting the child back in it’s little pod. The child giggled happily as Mando turned away to pack up the box. The child climbed out of the pod again and made it’s way back over to the man. He started tugging on his shirt curiously. Mando looked over again and the child looked up at him.
Mando sighed before picking the kid up and putting him on his lap. The kid gargled happily grabbing the fabric of his shirt nuzzling into the man’s stomach. Mando gasped and jolted away causing him to fall back off the box onto the floor, his helmet making a loud metal clang on impact. Mando heard the kid laugh as he processed what just happened.
“You ok kid?” Mando asked looking up to find the child standing on his stomach. The child squealed happily before plopping down onto Mando hugging his stomach again nuzzling his head. Mando’s breath hitched.
“Hey! What did I say! D-Don’t doho that!” Mando gasped.
The child ignored him and kept on nuzzling it’s little head against Mando’s shirt.
“Hey! Kid! Stohop!” Mando demanded. But his words were ignored.
“Kihid! Y-You’re tihickling me!” Mando squeaked out through his gritted teeth.
The child giggled along with the man not fully understanding why cuddling was making him laugh, but the kid was happy Mando was happy so he kept doing it.
Mando attempted to grab the kid but the kid wasn’t finished yet and quickly stopped him.
“W-What the hell?” Mando gasped as he realized he couldn’t move his arms. He sighed when he saw the child’s raised arm.
“Kid, Let me up. This isn’t funny.” Mando demanded. But he was ignored by the small creature. The child gargled and continued nuzzling its little head against Mando’s stomach.
“Dank Ferik! Kihid! Let me goho!” Mando giggled kicking his legs. It’s been at least a decade since anyone has tickled him! He didn’t know how to handle it! It was unbearable! Mando screeched as the child grabbed the hem of his shirt lifting it.
“Kihid! Kihihid! StaHAHAHA!” Mando suddenly screeched unable to keep his composure any longer as the child crawled in under his shirt.
The child just continued to giggle happily.
“Noho! Nononohoho! Gehet ohohout!” He laughed throwing his head back.
The child liked how much Mando was laughing and he assumed he was doing something right since he was, and continued.
“Kihid! Knohohock ihit ohohohoff! Ahaha!” Mando laughed tossing his head back and forth. The feeling of the kid’s small claws against his stomach and sides was too much! The little hair on the kid’s head was just making it worse! He was going nuts! Thank the force Cara wasn’t back from the village yet! He would never hear the end of it from her. The child giggled and squeaked
“Ah! Aahh! ! Ahaha! Stohohop!” Mando laughed squirming about trying anything stop this humiliating situation.
“Hey Mando, the chief sent me to get you.” Mando suddenly heard Cara say.
Mando’s heart dropped. Cara walked up the ramp and into the ship to find a kicking boot sticking out from some boxes with none other then a laughing Mandalorian attached to it.
“Kihihid! Seriously! Gehet ohohoff of mehehe!” Cara heard Mando screech. She walked to over and looked over the boxes and found Mando laying there out of breath with a little head poking our from under his shirt.
The child giggled happily before crawling out from under Mando’s shirt and releasing him. The child then walked off to its pod. Mando laid there and sighed with relief that it was finally over.
Cara chuckled before offering Mando a hand up. He gladly took it and stood up.
“What the hell happened?” Cara asked
“Long story...” Mando said looking over at the child.
Sorry for the delay my dear! I wanted to get this to you on Saturday but ended up needing to work this weekend. I hope you enjoy it.
Part II
Luke couldn’t help but start giggling at the Mandalorian’s words. Though Din hadn’t tickled anyone in years he was apparently a quick learner, already breaking Luke down with his words alone. Din smiled as he loomed over the Jedi, trying not to laugh himself watching him squirm. “I haven’t even touched you yet. Why are you laughing so much?”
Luke started blushing, torn between hiding his face and protecting his sensitive areas. “Because it’s going to tickle,” Luke said before giggling more and covering his mouth to smother the sound.
Din found this very endearing. “It is. I see you’re eager for me to begin, so I won’t keep you in suspense any longer,” he said before wiggling his fingers underneath Luke’s robes and tickling his sides gently.
Luke started flailing and giggling like a madman despite how gentle Din was being. Din was a little out of practice and out of fear of accidentally hurting the man, Din decided to go with gentle touches instead of digging in. At least until he got the hang of it. Luke was resisting the urge to fight back and tickle Din again, sensing that the man was having as much fun doing this as he’d had when Luke tickled him.
Din grinned watching this strong warrior being made helpless by his fingers. Teasing had made Din feel a lot more ticklish when Luke did it to him, maybe it would work on Luke too. “Does this tickle Master Jedi?” Din said as he moved his hands to torment Luke’s belly. Din was gaining his confidence and used his hands to claw Luke’s belly, causing the man to squeak before rolling around on the ground in laughter.
Luke nodded his head. “Yes...it does!” he said. He tried to keep still but it was impossible. He managed to flip over from laying on his back to laying on his stomach in an attempt to protect his ticklish belly, but Din still had him pinned down. He started tickling up and down his ribs and wiggling his fingers under Luke’s arms as Luke screeched, kicking his legs against the floor.
Din couldn’t help laughing, Luke’s beautiful laugh was so infectious. This was a far cry from the stoic, poised warrior Din first encountered on Moff Gideon’s ship. If someone had told him at that moment Din would have the Jedi at his mercy, laughing hysterically while pinned underneath him a few months’ time, he wouldn’t have believed it. Din assumed that if Luke wasn’t enjoying himself, he could have thrown him across the room by now with his Jedi powers. In theory, Luke could have done that but the tickling was making it impossible for him to even try. Not that he wanted to.
“You have a very cute laugh, you know that Luke?” Din said chuckling, trying to tease him but he was also speaking the truth.
Luke didn’t know how to respond. He had indeed been told this before, the compliment making him blush profusely every time. Before he could stop himself, Luke wheezed out, “Stop...please.”
Din immediately stopped. Luke was panting and grateful for the reprieve, but he was confused. Luke flipped over to his back looking up at Din. He could sense the man’s concern. “Why did you stop?” Luke asked.
Din looked puzzled. “Because...you asked me to?” But then Din remembered how he had struggled with not blurting out “stop” or “no” during his own tickle attack, not truly wanting it to end. “Do you...want me to keep going?”
This completed flustered Luke. No one had ever asked him if he wanted to be tickled, but he was touched in a way that the Mandalorian was so considerate of him. Unable to form the words, all Luke could do was nod his head.
Din was relieved he hadn’t pushed Luke too hard, but he also couldn’t resist having a little fun with him. Din grinned at him. “I’m going to need you to say it, Luke.”
Oh, he’s a bit sadistic, isn’t he? Luke smiled and closed his eyes. “youcankeepgoing,” he mumbled quietly.
Din squinted his eyes and put his hand to his ear. “What was that? I’m afraid I didn’t hear you.”
Luke started giggling and hiding his face in his hands. “You can keep going!”
Luke had barely gotten the words out when Din pinned one of Luke's arms down with one hand, tickling underneath with the other hand. Luke screamed before hysterical giggles started pouring out of his mouth, shaking his head back and forth.
Din started laughing again. “This seems to be as much of a sensitive area for you as it was for me.” He started drilling his thumb under Luke’s arm and using his fingers to dig into Luke’s upper ribs, tears starting to fill Luke’s eyes. Din could tell this was a lot for Luke to handle so only did this for a few moments before stopping and letting him catch his breath.
Din smirked before asking, “So...is under your arms your worst spot? Or is there another one I should try?”
This was killing Luke. He wasn’t ready for the tickling to end quite yet, but telling the Mandalorian his worst spot was going to be nearly impossible. But with as respectful as Din was, Luke knew he wouldn’t unless he told him.
Luke bit his lip before mustering the strength to say it. “My feet...that’s my worst spot.”
Din smiled, happy for Luke’s honesty. “Ah yes,” Din said before looking at Luke’s socked feet. “That is a very sensitive area for a lot of people, isn’t it?” Din sat down on Luke’s shins before Luke started squealing. Din laughed. This really was precious. “Again, I haven’t even touched you yet.” Din couldn’t resist toying with the adorable man again. He started wiggling his fingers a few inches away from Luke’s soles, though Luke couldn’t see what Din was doing, so Din decided to describe it to him. “My fingers are wiggling dangerously close to these feet of yours, Master Jedi. Can you sense it with those powers of yours?”
Luke started involuntarily trying to pull his feet away and wiggling his toes because he could sense it. He could feel the ghostly tickles already. “Just do it, Din. Please.” The anticipation was already killing him.
Din chuckled. “If you insist.” Din started wiggling his fingers up and down both of Luke’s soles before Luke started screaming with laughter.
Din was being very gentle, knowing this was Luke’s worst spot and that was actually making the tickling much worse than if Din had been rougher with him. Din was paying attention to see which parts of Luke’s feet got the biggest reaction, noticing that the closer he got to his toes, the more he flailed. Din started tickling his toes and Luke was done for. The Jedi started pounding his fists against the floor, silent laughter coming from the wide smile on his face. Unable to hold back anymore, Luke reached out his hands to tickle Din under his arms.
Din fell back against Luke’s chest laughing loudly as Luke wrapped arms around him in a hug, using his legs to pin Din’s legs down. It surprised Din but he welcomed it, finding that he missed Luke’s playful touches. Luke knew this of course, that’s why he’d done this. He also just couldn’t take being tickled on his toes for very long.
Luke continued to tickle Din under his arms and his upper ribs, before switching to grabbing Din’s thighs, then back to his ribs and underarms, sneaking a few tickles to his belly to hear those adorable high pitched giggles again. Din was resting the back of his head against Luke’s shoulder trying (but not really) to wriggle out of Luke’s grasp. Luke alternated spots so quickly it made it seem to tickle more and before long Din’s melodic laughter became a borderline hysterical cackle.
“You know, you have a very cute laugh too Din,” Luke said smiling. Din suddenly felt Luke using the Force to tickle his thighs and the bottoms of his feet, causing him to scream. Din’s feet weren’t nearly as ticklish as Luke’s but the tickling on his thighs quickly did him in, as Luke continued to tickle under his arms. “You don’t mind a little more tickling, do you? I know you missed this.” If the tickling wasn't overloading his brain, Din would have wondered how Luke could have known that.
Luke was merciful and only tickled Din like this for a few moments (using the Force to cause a burst of tickles to engulf every inch of Din’s body for just a moment) before stopping. It was enough to exhaust Din once again, giggling and twitching as he continued to rest his head against Luke’s shoulder, sucking in air greedily. Luke rubbed his hands against Din’s shoulders, Din laughing and jolting for a moment thinking Luke was about to tickle him again.
Luke laughed. “Someone’s a bit jumpy. Don’t worry, I know you’ve had enough.”
Din and Luke were both panting and once they’d recovered enough, they sat back down on the couch while Luke continued to rub Din’s shoulders. “I may be the more ticklish one, but I definitely have more stamina than you,” Luke said looking at the exhausted man.
Din had closed his eyes and was resting his head against the couch. He chuckled before saying, “You’ve got me there.”
Luke felt those warm feelings he’d sensed coming from Din for weeks even more intensely now. Luke smiled and gave Din a peck on one of his rosy cheeks. “I think I’m going to have to make a habit of doing this to you. Your laugh is too irresistible,” Luke said fondly.
I hope you do. “Just know, I will be getting my revenge if you do.”
Grandma/Vodka Aunt Peli teaches Mando how to have fun with his son.
Ok this is the first fic I've written in YEARS so apologies if it sucks but I'm trying to get back into writing. Also there are so few (but amazing) Mandalorian tk fics and if I have to write one myself so be it.
Mando didn't want to stay in one place for too long, what with the Empire and the Bounty Hunters Guild still after him and the kid, and even more so now after what went down with Toro and Fennec. But in this case, he really didn't have a choice. The damage to the Razor Crest was more extensive than originally thought, and would take several days to have the ship in working order. Peli knew he was eager to leave Tatooine even if Mando didn't outright say so, but there was only so much she could do in a day, especially with his "no droids" policy.
Feeling guilty for the repairs taking so long, she offered the Mandalorian and child the small extra room in her home. He was hesitant at first, but with the only credits he had going to the repairs and how much the kid and Peli got on, he agreed. And if he was honest with himself, he was a bit fond of her as well.
Peli would work all day on the repairs, Mando helping with what he was able to do, but mostly he tried to keep himself and the kid out of her way so she could focus. Particularly the kid. The child adored Peli and wanted to follow her wherever she went.
At the end of the day she would prepare a small meal for all three of them, though Mando would eat his in the privacy of his room.
One evening after dinner, he returned to her living room to sit in a nearby chair watching Peli and the kid playing on the floor. The child was laughing harder than Mando had ever heard him laugh. His big brown eyes squinting shut, high pitched giggles and cooing, falling over when he lost his balance during a particularly hard giggle fit. It warmed his heart to see him so happy, but as the same time it almost made him sad that he couldn't make the child laugh like that.
Even with his helmet on Peli could sense something was bothering him as he sat on a chair near them.
"Why you sulking?" Peli said teasingly but not cruely. Her voice softened as she said, "Look, I know the repairs are taking longer than I expected and I'm sorry about that. But I promise, as soon as the parts we need arrive tomorrow, I'll get straight on it and you guys will be on your way in no time."
Mando shook his head slightly. "No it's not that. It's just...I've never seen him have so much fun before." She could hear the tinge of sadness in his voice. She didn't know much about Mando or how he came to look after the child, but from what she gathered it seemed like they probably didn't have much time for playing.
"Well get down here and play with him then." She said as she reached over and grabbed his ankles, dragging him down to the floor.
He genuinely was unsure what to do, so he simply sat awkwardly watching as Peli continued making silly voices and faces and gently rough housing with him, a small smile hidden under his helmet. At one point she started peppering the baby with kisses on his face and blew a raspberry against his little neck.
The child screeched then immediately fell into giggles once again.
The child's scream startled Mando. "Are you sure he likes that?" he said with concern. He had always enjoyed it when his parents would tickle him as a child but he knew for many people it was torturous. Almost immediately the child reached out his tiny hands to Peli's face to pull her down to do it again. She did as she was asked, sneaking a few gentle tickles to the kid's belly and sides
She looked at Mando smiling and said "He does. Don't worry, I wouldn't do it if he didn't like it."
Mando suddenly felt a familiar sensation fluttering around his sides and jolted. Peli let out a cackle.
"So...the big bad Mandalorian is a little ticklish too huh?"
"Peli n.." was all he managed to get out before her fingers went straight to both of his sides. It had been more than 20 years since someone had purposely tickled him, and he was unprepared for the intensity.
Truth be told, Peli was going easy on him, being gentler with him than she had been even with the child. Because it had been so long since someone had tickled him, he couldn't even try to stop the breathy, staticy giggles from escaping his mouth. He curled in on himself, involuntarily twisting and turning to get away from her fingers to no avail, unable to fight her off, partly from the tickling being too distracting but also out of fear of accidentally hurting the tiny woman.
"Peli! Please!" was all he could say before exploding into loud, high pitched laughter as he fell back onto the floor when she made her way to his ribs.
Peli laughed "Sorry my friend, but I'm not about miss the opportunity of taking down a Mandalorian. I'll be a legend."
"Nohohoho!" He begged as she reached his top ribs and eventually under his arms. That was when he really lost it. His underarms were always a weak spot when he was young, and apparently they still were.
"Looks like I found a sweet spot!" She said triumphantly.
Luckily most of his other spots were covered in beskar, but it didn't do much to help him in the currently situation.
The usually stoic Mando was full on cackling at this point, surprising everyone in the room including himself. He couldn't remember the last time he laughed, especially this hard. The tickling under his arms was nearly unbearable. Mando (and Peli) both knew if he hated this, he could put it to an end in matter of seconds. But he didn't. In fact he found the whole experience to be quite...fun. It embarrassed him to admit it, even if it was just to himself.
"Awww, you're laugh is almost as sweet as his!", Peli said genuinely as she went back to tickling his ribs, as his cackling died down to frantic giggles.
The child waddled over to Mando's helmet and stared at him with a big smile on his face. Just like Mando had thought earlier, the kid couldn't recall ever seeing Mando so happy. The child was always very perceptive of Mando's emotions. He could sense when the man was angry, scared, tired...but happiness wasn't something he could sense from him often. But in this moment, it was undeniable. He loved hearing his protector laugh and giggled himself at the sound.
Because of the beskar, Peli's options for exploring new tickle spots were limited, so she gave one more spot a try.
His knees were just as bad, if not worse, than under his arms. He screeched and started cackling again. He couldn't restrain himself any longer and started kicking his legs, finally pleading for mercy. She took this as a queue that he was reaching his limit and finally stopped. The whole episode had only lasted a minute or two, but Mando was exhausted. He laid on the floor catching his breath, as Peli and the child both giggled at him.
It took a few moments for his lingering giggles to subside. He looked over at the kid who raised his arms to be picked up.
"Well, I guess I can officially say I was able to defeat a Mandalorian, how many people get to say that?" Peli said with a laugh. Mando felt his face blush.
"Please Peli, don't...don't go telling people about this. I have a reputation to uphold."
She looked at him with kind eyes. "Oh don't worry womp rat, I won't tell anyone." He knew she meant it.
Mando sat up and picked up the child who had been waiting patiently. The kid looked at Mando's helmet and cooed. The kid reach out with one of his hands and gave him a quick tickle under his arm. Mando let out a surprised laugh.
"Oh no you don't", he said amusingly as he gently tickled the kid's belly and sides as he'd seen Peli do before. Because of his helmet, he couldn't give the child ticklish kisses or raspberries like she had, but he scratched around the child's neck with his fingers for a few seconds. When he stopped, the child reached for his fingers pulling them towards his neck, indicating he wasnt ready for the game to be over yet. The child giggled and squirmed in Mando's arms, while Mando himself laughed.
Peli decided to let them have their moment and went to her kitchen to tidy up. The Mandalorian still had an awful lot to learn about raising a child, but she could tell he was on his way.
