Ticks and Leeches || Para || Cassius and Mark

The cloud cover made the night much darker than it usually was, the silver light of the moon trying to break through, casting strange shadows across the grounds.

Mark had been watching the cabin for a couple days, knowing Casey was busy with the new addition to the family. He needed to get to him and speak to him before too much time expired. Tonight was going to be the night if everything lined up correctly.

The hybrid left the cabin after the baby had been laid down, needing to check on some security details since he had been absent. Cassius went into the building and headed straight there. No one was in the office when he arrived- torn between being annoyed that no one was checking cameras and glad that someone was probably doing their rounds walking the halls. He sat in front of the computer and began to look at some communication when the room became extremely cold, seeing his own breath. Alarmed, he looked up and nearly jumped out of his chair, seeing Mark between him and the door.

"We need to talk."

Cassius was nervous. He rarely dealt with the harbringer but knew he seemed like a decent guy, but something told him that Mark was really different. The demonic scent was thick on him, wafting through the room which indicated to him that he had changed greatly.

"About what?" Casey had his full attention, both in curiosity of what the harbringer would need from him and caution.

"Aaron."

This wasn't what the hybrid wanted to hear. His relationship what greatly severed with Aaron and he honestly didn't want anything to do with him anymore. The introduction of trying to traumatize him was too much. So when he heard the name, Casey wanted to immediately just tell him 'no' and move on.

Reluctantly, Casey asked, "What about him?"

Mark proceeded to tell him how he needed to get close to his brother again, make Aaron trust him and fix whatever was needed. When Cassius questioned him why, Mark simply replied, "You'll find out soon" but did explain this was Lucifer's order to him. Cassius didn't understand why Lucifer couldn't tell him to himself, but he also didn't want to deal with him now, either.

"And what if I don't want to do this?"

"It's all a ruse, Cassius. You don't need to like him, just do this."

Casey nods in understanding, knowing what he had to start doing.
