Can someone help me?
I really don’t know if this is ocd or tourettes/tic disorder. I’m already diagnosed with ocd, but I can’t tell if these behaviors I’m having (and always had) are ocd related or something else.
My therapist told me to “pay attention” to them so we can figure out what they mean, but I’m not even sure if I can describe it
Sometimes I scrunch my face, turn my neck and do kind of a hang loose with my hands idk. I also do these ‘sounds’ (can’t describe it)
The thing is. Some of my ocd compulsions are bending my body, scrunching everythingand ‘humming’ to “protect/run away/dont hear” the thoughts.
But sometimes (a lot) I do these weird movements (plus many others) without the intrusive thoughts before. I just feel like doing something. Like I think about jerking my neck and then I HAVE to do it. But it kind of feels voluntary? Maybe that’s cause it is a ocd thing?
Can someone with tourettes please tell me what the premonitory urge feels like?
People with TS (Tourette’s Syndrome)
How quickly did your TS symptoms come on?
Like we’re ticcing one month and verbal ticcing the next?
Did everything happen at once in one month?
Did it take half a year?
Did it take a whole year?
I really need to know what normal because my family is freaking out.
Me: Okay.
Tics: Okay :).
Me: No.
Tics: Yes.
Me: No, we’ve already ticced “haha” in this small store too many times.
Tics: Too many?
Me: Yes. We. Are. In. Line. We’re almost done.
Tics: Almost done?
Me: Yes.
Tics: “Fight me! Fight me! F*ck you! Haha! F*ck you! Fight me!”
Night time tics Part 1:
Co worker: {dropped something} “oh mother f#cker”
Tics: SCREAMED “mother f#cker!”
Slightly in front of a costumer. And around my coworkers that didn’t know my tics could cuss.
Love my work people.
They know I’m really sensitive to sound. And the other night at work, they were playing a prank on a coworker by slamming a chair on a table. And my favorite co worker looked at me and mouthed “cover your ears.” Waited for me to do so, and then slammed the chair.
And that’s just really sweet of them.
My friend: * exists *
My tics: “HI HI HI HI HI HI HI HI HI HI” * while also waving furiously. (This goes on for a couple minutes every time)
Hi, So I need some help please. I know I have no followers and I’m not sure exactly how this app works but if this can get to the right people it could really be helpful.
I think that I have a form of a tic disorder. Not sure which one. But I am deathly afraid of doctors so I’m really trying avoid that. If you know someone who knows stuff about this please help me out.
Here some things about it:
When I tic I tend to throw my right arm the most. I’ll often bring my head down to the right and close my right eye. I’ll hit the counter at work with a fist and/ or a fkat palm. When I hit my fist on the counter it’s normal a big fast swing down. If I’m hitting my flat hand it’s normally small and repetitive. I do sometime throw both hands up. I’ve also recently been going up on my tip toes with it as well. I was riding a bit a couple years ago and then it kinda of went away and it’s came back a couple months ago. I think it tends to get worse when I’m anxious. Also when there less people around.
If I need to get formally checked out or if you guys or someone you know can help me out please comment.
