do you have any headcanons for the tid gang

I'm assuming you want hcs of all of them togetherrr! Here's what I've got:

people always talk smack about them, so they talk smack about said people back (you'll find Cecily and Sophie in a corner trashing someone who said something nasty to Charlotte and sticking their middle fingers at them behind their back)

Will and Sophie are Charles' god parents and Tessa and Gabriel are Matthew's

Sophie, the knitting and embroidery queen, makes an entire wardrobe of baby clothes whenever Tessa, Charlotte or Cecily get pregnant. She's so quick that she does it all in like,,, two months. Icon.

Charlotte loses her mind when a new baby is born within the tid gang. Like she'll beg tessa, cecily and sophie to hold the baby and will hold it the entire time. The babies, of course, couldn't be happier.

Henry used to spend hours training Will when he first came to the institute, even though it was time he could have otherwise spent in the lab

Even though Will and Tessa where distant for many years (being in London and all) every time they'd be reunited it was as if time had never gone by, and they'd have the greatest time

I want to say they spend the day together. We already know Tessa and Sophie are the bestest of friends. So, they would have arranged a nice tea for the ladies. Cecily would have joined them and they would have dragged Charlotte no matter how busy she was.

Just the four of them - no spouses or children. Tessa uses her new magic skills and summons food, so they don't have to trouble themselves or anyone else. Charlotte shares some clave gossip (confidentially of course) - because who doesn't love that? Cecily promises not to tell anyone. (Tells Will first and Gabriel after lol.) Sophie may or may not have gotten a little tipsy on the wine :)

she fell for jem because he was the only guy she ever met who didn't want something from her or treated her like something indisposable

charlotte was more of a mother than sophie's mom ever was

she never talked to anyone about how she got her scar except for tessa and charlotte

the only other people that know are gideon and will

she let it slip when she was talking to eugenia when everything went down in idris and will and gideon both almost cried

will was more protective over her than he had ever been and sophie tried to remind him that it was a lifetime ago and that she was strong and could handle herself but will ignored that completely and went overboard for at least a month

gideon had tried not to do that since will was and sophie kept complaining about it

so instead every night and everytime they kissed he would kiss her scar and remind her of how beautiful he thought she was

sophie never felt as loved as she did when she was with gideon

will and henry both sat gideon down when they realized he was courting sophie and had the 'if you break her heart we'll break your face talk'

tessa was the closest friend that sophie ever had besides gideon and they remained best friends until sophie died

gideon and sophie were constantly concerned that they were screwing up as parents because neither of them were raised well and so when people complimented them on how well behaved and amazing their kids were it meant the world to both of them

they are also both SUPER PROTECTIVE of their kids

sophie is especially protective of eugenia because of idris and it brings unwelcome flashbacks but she is fiercely protective if it

gideon is super protective of thomas because he isn't blind and is just waiting to thomas to come out formally but meanwhile he just glared at the people who have him odd looks and shuts the whispers down immediately

especially after the whole arrest ordeal

they stay up talking over tea about all the drama going on with everyone and letting their guard down and finally chilling

it's important to both of them because sophie has to act super put together constantly to prove she deserves to be a shadowhunter

gabriel does as well since he is charlotte's right hand man

soft gabrily headcanons 🥰

gabriel is definitely more clingy than cecily. he just won't let go of her in the mornings because he wants more cuddle time.

they love spoiling each other. they keep getting each other gifts and little things that remind them of the other.

they both love to cook. and they love to cook together. cecily has taught gabriel many of her mom's recipes. cooking together has also led to food fights sometimes.

cecily isn't an avid reader like her brother, but her favourite thing is when gabriel reads to her. she may also have fallen asleep listening to his sweet voice on more than one occasion.

they are both 'neat and clean' persons. neither of them is the messy one and they both love that.

they both decorated their house together. it's not over the top or too minimalist. it's the perfect amount cozy for them and they love it.

they love training together. cecily is always trying to learn new fighting techniques and new weapons and gabriel loves seeing her be so passionate about it. morning training sessions are also their favourite.

nick names. are very frequent. gabriel mostly uses "ceci" and "my love" for his wife. cecily mostly uses "love" and "idiot" for her husband.

they are both shitty artists but love to draw together. they also get extremely competitive over who can draw the most ugliest version of the other. no one knows about this and all the drawings are kept well hidden.

Jem and Church Headcanons

Jem once told Tessa, AS A JOKE, that he loved her almost as much as the cat. 

Tessa did not find this as funny as Kit did and Jem and Church had to sleep on the couch that night. 

Will never liked that cat. He always thought it was planning to get rid of the rest of them so he could have Jem to himself.

When they reunited in COHF,  Church was so happy and Jem was overjoyed to see his beloved pet.

Jem gives Church way too many cat treats and the cat is a little over weight.  

Church will lay on Jem’s lap and watch T.V. with him. 

He loves it when Jem scratches him behind his ears. He purrs very loud when he does.

Tessa has always had mixed felling about the cat, possibly from living with Will for decades, but buys it toys and treats because she knows how much Jem cares for him and if Jem loves him, she can too, even if she has cat hair on everything she owns. 

In short, Jem and Church  have a very close bond that will never be broken.

(p.s. idk what this turned into but it's less of a headcanon and more of a drabble so if you want something that falls more into the headcanon category just drop another ask sorry <333)

gabriel spent his entire childhood looking up to his brother and gideon spent it trying to do the best for his brother

gabriel and gideon were never close to their sister who spent all her time with their dad who didn't care about her

they spent their time together and with their mother

they were there for each other the first time their dad took the punishment for failing too far

they were there for each other when their mom died and their dad started going crazy

they were there for each other the first time they came back from a patrol bloodied

gabriel was there for gideon the first time their sister told him he was evil and should die for not following their father

gideon was there for Gabriel the first time their dad threw a drunk and angry punch

they had always been there for each other

until they weren't

gideon and gabriel fought the night before gideon left for his travel year

gabriel broke his first promise to his brother that day when he didn't meet him to send him off

gideon broke his first promise when he didn't come back after the first year

gabriel started listening more to their father and grew more and more blinded by the abuse and manipulation the longer gideon stayed away

eventually gideon came back and he expected his brother to be excited to see him

hoped the fight was forgotten

hoped everything was forgiven

it wasn’t

gabriel left for three days when gideon came back, not bothering to say anything to his brother

the harder gideon tried to reach his brother the more gabriel pushed back and the more gideon regretted his decision to leave

it was only when their father beat gabriel up so badly that he could fix himself did gabriel talk to gideon

gideon cried that night and it took a long talk and two more days before gideon made gabriel realized he wasn't fighting back anymore

that day gideon took him away and they spent the day in the park and the night on patrol

nothing was truly solved until they were able to leave and stay with charlotte

they never got back to how they used to be but they steadily got back into the habit of looking out for each other

gabriel was there to tease and listen to gideon when the whole scone accident happened

gideon was there when gabriel fumbled over his words for the first time in front of a girl (and will herondale's sister of all people)

gabriel was there when gideon had nightmares about leaving and their dad

gideon was there when gabriel started screaming in the middle of the night because he had killed their father

he hadn't been asleep then

they steadily got back to who they were and they made sure their family was close and they were always there to reassure each other that they were doing well as fathers

they were always there to talk when they needed to and to sit in silence when they didn't

they were always the first to stand up for each other (or their wives (gabriel is super protective of sophie and gideon's the same way with cecily))

all in all they were always there for each other

and neither would have it any other way

(but don't let the other know)
