ahh, hello, holly! thanks so much for the ask :) this is a good question, because if i'm being honest, my first impulse was to answer this by saying that dorian likes to put on some sort of face mask (peel off, sheet mask, etc) and watching a show that he could 'turn his brain off during' like the golden girls or something.. but that probably wouldn't make for a very riveting ask, even though it is true LOL. so what else does dorian like to do to relax, you may ask? this may seem a bit counterproductive, but he likes to practice the form of martial arts he knows (shotokan karate) to relax sometimes by using a punching bag while listening to music to casually kind of brush up on his skills, for one. you might also catch dorian reading a book to relax if he wants to do something low-maintenance to relax after work or something.

but hey, combine that last thing (reading) with getting into a nice and warm bubble bath, and you have dorian's idea of a relaxing evening with just a bit more effort. whenever he either isn't feeling like doing the other things stated in this post or can't do them for whatever reason, though, he is bound to try to journal some in a notebook he has that he also scrapbooks in and so it serves as a 'junk journal' of sorts. but it also has some pretty private thoughts written in it via dorian, so he takes writing in it seriously and even if its nothing long, he likes to practice writing something in that journal every day. now, there are probably more things out there as for what dorian likes to do to relax, but these are the ones that came to mind so i hope this answer suffices :D

The sudden sound of a surfacing object gets her to look down. Oh. That's a seal. Or... was it a sea lion? No, sea lions had ears. And this thing is... grey and spotted. It looked like one of those leopard seals she's seen on the Discovery Channel. The fuck would a leopard seal be doing all the way out here with no ice?? Was it a loose captive animal from the zoo?

Margaret's brows furrowed, noticing those odd, bright blue eyes it possessed. And they only furrowed further when the animal before her morphed into something more human. Or human-ish. Whatever.

A quick sniff affirms to her that... Yep. That's a mythical being. Just what she needed interrupting her time at the beach. And stupidly territorial. UGH.
