Tiger Longwing
Flash, flitter, freeze. A butterfly's effect is of a strange kind. Spending my working day near by a botanical garden that houses a wide variety of them has brought out a different appreciation for these flittering creatures, which were usually observed during post-lunch walks. And if you spend a good enough time trying to capture them, you are bound to notice how they play with you. Enough to make you think they actually have a human-like perceptive nature. Interesting subjects these.
This was taken at the Chester Zoo's butterfly greenhouse.
