I 1000% believe they’re going to gender swap Sophie Beckett for Benedict’s season (aka season 4). With how his story with Tilly ended, it wouldn’t make sense for him to end up with a woman next season. In part 1, he seemed very open to courting Tilly, bringing her flowers and everything, and I generally caught the vibe he maybe wanted to marry Tilly in the future, but after she helped Benedict discover his bisexuality he seemed less and less interested in her and more and more interested in men. After turning her down, why would he immediately go off and marry a different woman? Why even have him explore his sexuality if there’s no real payoff (other than being able to say they included queer stories into the show and pat themselves on the back for that)? Sophie Beckett will be a man or I will eat my hat.

people hating on tilly is so strange to me because what I saw was two adults who expressed their honest emotions and then respected each others' boundaries because they care about each other - its called healthy communication gang. tilly shouldn't have swallowed her feelings and benedict did not owe her to stay in a closed relationship. and neither of those things happened.
