i know we talk about colin being the 'all about his wife' guy, but can we also talk about mr mondrich? that guy will support his wife in absolutely anything. she doesn't want to just be the decor lady for the queen but wants to do something more that if it turns out badly it might ruin their family? he supports her. the men talk about having mistresses? he's like "i understand why some might take them if they're in a loveless marriage BUT NOT ME!" he married his wife before they became a part of society, when they were basically poor. he did everything to ensure her and their children are safe and taken care of. they came into wealth overnight, but are still humble and want to help whoever might be in need, even if it might cause them harm. he will support his wife in anything. and that is very much true love to me.
