Danny was terribly lonely. His parents had died with the GIW after he discovered a new power he couldn’t control while trying not to be captured. His sister had never discovered he was Phantom, and she was extremely distraught after hearing the news of their parents’ deaths. Fortunately, the cause was left unknown, and the most probable reason was an experiment gone wrong, so she didn’t blame him. Still, she couldn’t stand to remain and look after him.

His friends, at the beginning, were actively helping him fighting ghosts. But after a while, they started to become greedy. Tucker tried to make money out of him, while Sam was treating him like some sort of exotic pet she had raised. He couldn’t stand them anymore and decided to fake an accident where the two of them would hit their heads, so he could eliminate their memories of fighting ghosts and attribute the gap in their memories to the concussion.

Vlad killed himself after hearing of the death of his mother. Valerie was still the Red Huntress and, while she was gentle with Fenton, she wasn’t with Phantom. Dani? She was fighting for her life (or afterlife) in the Far Frozen, after she almost destabilized last month.

And him? He was in college in Gotham and was seriously considering letting this idiotic mugger kill him.

But… he saved me. Red Robin saved me. It was the first time that someone had actually helped him in a really long time, and he got a little bit obsessed. He started stalking him everywhere in both of his identities. He would have tried to kidnap him to make him date him, but he got a boyfriend…

So, taking inspiration from his godfather, he decided to clone him without letting him know he was the one who had created the clone, and play the part of the Good Samaritan to make him fall in love.

Bernard catches Tim on a date with another guy and follows them around to make sure its not what it looks like. His suspicions are confirmed when he sees them kissing.

He later confronts Tim about it, who is confused before showing Bernard he had an alibi for that day with several witnesses and cameras to back it up. Still, Tim investigates whats going on with Bern along for the ride. If anyone could fake something this thoroughly it was Tim, so he had to be sure.

As it turns out Tim has a clone who escaped his creators and has a boyfriend of his own, Danny.

"Ya know," Danny said, picking at the sleeve of his NASA hoodie, "If I had known I would be meeting my boyfriends parents today I would have worn something nicer."

Danny once believed in happy endings.

He believed that saving the world and revealing the truth of what he was would be enough—that light, once shown, could not be feared.

For a time, he was right. His parents stood by him, his friends smiled through tears, and the people closest to him tried to understand. But beyond that fragile circle, the world turned cold. Fear became anger. Anger became war.

When the smoke cleared, the world was gone—burned by its own hatred. Only a handful remained: Danny, his siblings, and a few children who had once trusted him with their lives. Together, they watched everything else crumble into dust.

Grief gave way to silence, and silence to resentment.

When Danny took the crown of the Infinite Realms, he did not do it for glory. He did it because there was no one left to stop him—and no reason not to. His heart had grown quiet, his mercy extinct. The living world became a conquered memory, its people nothing more than playthings in a ghost’s endless court.

A thousand years passed, and still the King remained—beautiful, hollow, eternal.

Then, one day, the veil between worlds tore open. From it stepped a familiar face, or something close to it—a clone of one of his old toys, Red Robin.

But where the original had been cautious, neutral, perhaps even kind, this one was different. This one was evil. Utterly, wonderfully, catastrophically evil.

For the first time in centuries, the King smiled.

Perhaps the story wasn’t over after all.
