98年なのか。ふむふむ。

この頃はちょうどスケートから遠ざかってた頃。LAから帰国（途中ハワイで仕事を見つけようとしたけど挫折）が95年、それからしばらくして浜松移住、半年ぐらいいたけど、メリージョイの仕事を振られて関東に戻る（といっても柏に引っ越した）という流れだったはず。記憶があいまいだけど。なので、千葉の柏にいた頃ゲットしたブツだと思われます。

当時、近所に住んでたEric Dressenさんのアパートに遊びに行った時に、たまたまTim Dowlingと会って軽く話したことがあります。

なので、日本でこのビデオ見つけて「おぉ、Timのビデオ出てるじゃん！」って買った気がする。手元のVHSを再生できないんだけどもたしか日本の代理店だかのイントロが入ってたと思う。まあでも、YouTubeに上がってるから当時でもLAとかSFぐらいまで、そこからスケートショップ経由で若干はアメリカでも流通したのかな？

Tim自身、スケートうまい。FTCの「FINALLY」のクレジットロール辺りでEMBでもゴリゴリ滑ってる映像が見れると思います。１、２度会ったぐらいだから、一緒にスケートしたことはないんだけど。

黒豆茶割りの芋焼酎を片手に見終えて、「記録って大事だなあ、写真とか、動画とか残しとけばよかったなあ…」なんて気がしたけど、待って！ネットもスマホも、デジカメすら普及してない時代だったから！と思いなおしました。　…君は本物の黒電話が鳴る音を覚えているかい？
