Tim Hickson has done some wonderful essays in the past, but I've really appreciated his foray into historical documentaries. This was a side of world history I wasn't aware of, and shining a light for me as an American on this conflict between France and New Zealand was highly intriguing, if unfortunately resonant of things my own country has done. And, barring some discovery of gross historical inaccuracy, it was a gripping and profound story from beginning to end that I'd recommend to just about anyone.

Worth a watch

If I ever write non-fanfic again I'll be thinking long and hard about how to market it. I won't be able to use the Deadpool approach, but there are still good insights here.

I can think of two YouTube channels off the top of my head that use "create ads/content that people want to see approach" brilliantly.

Both channels provide a lot of writing and storytelling content. While I'm unlikely to ever purchase StudioBinder software, I sure do know it exists and might recommend it to someone as something to check out. I've shared links to their video essays several times on different social media platforms.

Same thing generally with Hello Future Me. I might buy one of Tim's books one day as well. At the moment I'm too busy writing to read much of anything.
