Happily Timaeus ate the jam donut, some of squeezing out onto his gloves.
He'd always had something of a sweet tooth although he never understood when people commented on things being to sweet.
His tail swished enjoying the fruity treat, only momentarily pausing at the taste.
"Um the jam, is um little red berry one? Er, raszberry?"
Was he saying that right? All he knew for sure was that it was the one that smile quite liked them for some reason didn't agree with him.
"Hmm, M'ok," He shook his head scratching at his tail again, this was almost as bad when it was time for a shed.
Stretching it his tail as far it would go Timaeus moved closer to feel the warm steam as the water began to heat up
Dolcetto leaned against the counter, the back of his keikogi pressing against the edge.
Hmmm... he didn't think the donuts were filled with raspberry jam (wasn't that stuff more expensive?) From what he remembered in holidays past with his family the traditional filling was strawberry.
Speaking of holidays, he'd better give Timaeus his gift before he forgets. He cleared his throat, trying to get Tim's attention as he pulled something from his pocket.
It certainly wasn't the biggest gift he could've gotten, but Dol had felt like it was something Timaeus would appreciate. It also took... quite a bit of effort to get it, even forcing Dol to ask Greed for assistance in buying it.
In his hands Dol held a thin box, the length of it at least four times the width. He hadn't bothered to wrap it, what was the point of wasting materials on something like this? Better to just give the gift and have the receiver see it from the get-go.
The box had a clear strip in the middle of it, showcasing its colorful interior. A strip of small tubes sat inside, while a thin brush sat underneath them, hidden to the eye.
"I know y'like t' draw an' I thought you might like t' try somethin' new." He paused, quickly thinking over what to say next.
"Heard this stuff can last up t' forty years. So even if y' ever leave th' Nest, you've gotta bit of us with ya. Or at least a gift, t' remember me by."

last weekend some kid left its transformer toy at our store so we have it up at the counter and we named it Tim and after a month goes by we get to decorate it
