I've kinda mentioned this before but my first pitch for a DC Bats cartoon would be a series set during Jasons robins years when Bruce and Dick weren't on speaking terms but Dick would show up in every episode anyway because he just so happened to get a job at a place vital for that weeks investigation

he'd also always get fired by the end of the episode and blame Bruce for it

I truly want dick to look so, so different from bruce. I don't ever want bruce to be casually referred to as dick's dad by a stranger because it should be instantly recognizable that they are not related. And most importantly, I want this to itch at bruce constantly.

i dont imagine that slade wilson loves his family so much as he loves the nuclear family where he is the head of the household. he grew up being abused by his father and instead of realizing the entire system was fucked up, he decided he just wanted to be the one in power. maybe he did want to 'do better' than his dad but the fact that he doesn't necessarily hit his kids doesn't make him any less of an abusive asshole. his family as a whole is an extension of himself, so when they get hurt that's an attack on his masculinity and sense of self because they're deeply tied to his role as the provider and protector of the family (which is why he hates the titans so much for making him feel inept). however i don't think he really loves them because he doesn't truly respect their autonomy or individuality, which is why grant is both his greatest failure and his favorite child: a dead kid cannot fight back, or object, or challenge you in any way.

I think that in a soulmate au Slade and Addie should be soulmates and he still fucks it up
