All the Best of What We've Done || Jessim
It was always the same dream. Or at least, some variation of the same dream. The man was tall, and always in shadows, but sometimes, she could see a tinge of . . . purple. His skin was purple, and his hair was purple, and his clothes were purple, and the whole dream was purple. And he was always in her dreams these days. He would swear at her constantly; called her a whore and a slut and a bitch and a cunt, and for some reasons, the words hurt far more than they ought to. But of course, if that was the end of the dream, Jessica wasn't sure she'd care that much. She could handle a few cruel words. But the things that happened after that . . . he hurt her, and there was always crying, she was always crying, when he did something horrible. What exactly he did, she wasn't quite sure, but it always happened in the dreams, and she always cried. When she woke from the dreams, she could almost always feel his hand in her hair, stroking possessively, and pulling roughly.
It was the same tonight, except perhaps more real- she could see him on the beg, and could feel herself sobbing and begging, for what, she had no idea. She woke with a start, the nightmare fresh on her mind. It took several moments to catch her breath, so she stared at Tim beside her as she did, using him to calm herself. It worked, somewhat, but the dream wouldn't leave her alone. Why was she dreaming about the same thing, the same man, every night? Obviously, it had something to do with whatever she'd chosen to forget, but then, what was the point of forgetting, if she was going to have nightmares about it constantly? Biting her lip, she stared at Tim, and mulled over her decision. Then her hand was on his shoulder, shaking him lightly, and calling out his name. There was no point, and as painful as whatever she'd forgotten was, she thought maybe it was better to just know, and be done with it. "Tim," she called again, her voice nervous.

Jessica: Hey Tim!
Jessica: I um, I think the thing uh, whatever . . . worked.
Jessica: But I still feel the same about you.
Jessica: Come back to the apartment! I wanna spend tonight with you.

Alright, babe. You do what you gotta do.
I'll be back tonight.
What do you like the most about Tim?
He's . . . he's there for me. No matter what. No matter how much I fuck up, or-or how shitty I feel or act, he's . . . he doesn't leave. A-and I don't understand it, but I appreciate it. A lot.
So I guess . . . thanks Tim. Really. I-I know I'm still doing this, though I swear it won't change anything between us, but I . . . I know you were trying to help without me needing this, but . . . but you did help. You . . . you saved my life, you know. I don't know if you know that. But . . . you saved me. So thank you, a-and . . . I'll be back in a few hours, okay?
