lowkey craving a discord server for folks obsessed with the wish concept art 😔 like, they can like or be indifferent to the actual movie, but i want all of us to be soo in love with the concept art and discuss shit and make our own headcanons. like i need whatever the hp marauders fandom had goin on, but for wish?

like, i need to just talk about this with folks n share content. none of my homies know this movie, and even tho i can still talk to some of them bc we regularly just talk to each other about unshared interests, it isnt the same 😩 i need someone down in the trenches with me. i need a community 👁️👁️

i need us to have tags on ao3 that become official searchable tags, so i can find all the concept art-inspired fics ezpz! i need us to create gorgeous fanarts based off these headcanons n shit. i need us to flesh out the background characters more.

words cant describe how obsessed i am with this move rn. the amount of content i consume day and night. my need to watch the movie. how often i think about making my own rewrite (and all the infinite paths i could take 😔).

been in a steven universey mood lately. ive also got an au brewing in my head. steven + the gems & humans in the world of the owl house (my phone changed it to "owo" before i could even put the 'L' 😭 i hate this new autocorrect update bro).

i dont want it to be an exact 1:1 of everyone fitting other's roles, but a few of them will be (like no one is taking amity's role of antagonistic to friendship to romance, but connie will be in luz' starting role of a human coming into the demon realm, and i do plan to have a golden guard & someone in lilth's place) and im contemplating having pink and rose be separate characters (for Reasons ™ 👁️). and as of right now, there's gonna be some time travel shenanigans in the backstory of the crystal gems, bc it's necessary for how steven is born 😭 (i had a very specific idea of what i wanted steven to be mixed with & how the crystal gems are connected to rose... do u see where this is headed??!)

anyway. this is why i drew steven with pointy ears in the left doodles lol. those were based on screenshots from the show & i re-found most of them. funnily enough, i couldn't find the ref for the doodle i liked the least 😭 it has disappeared !!

yeah. i'll think of something eventually. also open to suggestions this—the su x toh au about a human girl meeting a magical boy, who's probably gonna have some horns (similar to his 'corrupted' form in su: future)

LOST JOHN'S CAVE, aka lost johns' cave, has to be my favorite episode so far.

before anything creepy happened, i was considering going caving. there's a certain vibe to it that makes me feel a lil spiritual or something. i loved the description of the comfort of the caves and the darkness ritual. i hate the dark bc of the uncertainty of what might be lurking, but the way she described it made me almost feel okay. not to mention i lowkey enjoy controlled tight spaces—the opposite of claustrophobia, basically. she was selling me on this.

the episode hit like no other for me, because i truly imagined myself when things got to be too tight, and no longer felt like a "controlled" tightness—the cave truly doesn't follow the meaning of the word, but at least you could control where you went. and they thought they had, but then the earth put them in their place and kind of went "you are not safe here" and i felt like I couldn't breathe when she was trying to surface, when she was in that tight space trying to crawl, and when she inevitably could crawl no longer because behind her was solid rock, and the front was too tiny to get through for a moment.

and the audio recording... damn. it all felt too real for me.

after like a week, i still had this in my head. i talked to someone about this ep. and:

Just listened to the one last week and it has stayed with me! I wanted to write down my thoughts on tumblr. im not even claustrophobic, but it really got to me cause i was like oh that 100% couldve been me if i was in her position bc i love some controlled, known, or purposely-made tight spaces. but if i ended up in that position, where things were getting impossibly tighter and then i got stuck with a dead end behind me... dear god, i would panic

basically the same stuff i wrote here, but i really want to double down on how much this episode impacted me and scared me in a way that other episodes hadn't. not because they weren't hitting their marks, but more bc i was really intrigued by them, and looking at them from an outsider/researcher-esque perspective. this episode, i really put myself in the shoes of the sisters and it was the best/worst idea 😭 (loving this show sm)

i had a dream that i barely remember. i just know someone said that drake bought the avengers BBLs and it legitimately woke me up because my body laughed 😭 and then i fell back asleep and spent a part of my next dream trying to remember that?! but i dont really remember the context of why they said that cause im pretty sure he didnt ACTUALLY do that. so sad

i just saw a percy jackson fan out in the wild 😭 im in panera bread about to leave, and i do a double take seeing them watch an episode on their computer. im shook, but im like "excuse me, are you watching percy jackson right now?" and we just start gushing about the show. absolutely amazing. it's been a long time since ive seen a fan IRL 😭💗

i got the wish artbook despite not watching the movie! bro has been OBSESSED with the concept art n i just... i had to.

got it in the mail last night and NO regrets. i stayed up late just reading different bits of it. god, it's wonderful and inspiring. im doing a bit of studying from it + note taking. i didnt intend to look at it as an educational book, but that's where we are now 💀 im quite hyperfixated on this... i think the next step is to actually watch the movie yall 😳 ik a lot of folks said it turned out disappointing, but i need it for reference idk
