So. I'm in uni, 2nd year. I've been getting close to this girl that was only friends w my roomates but now I consider us friends too (she does so aswell). The problem is that i would very pretty much like to kiss her senseless.

She has stated before that since she broke up with her ex boyfriend this summer, she doesn't want a relationship and, at the start of our getting closer she was flirting with a couple of people looking for something casual, but now she is not talking or searching for anything or anyone.

We've been hanging out a LOT, like, at least every 2 days and texting a lot too. Because of my previous "relationships" that are complicated (to say the least), I've learnt that other people can express themselves being very tactile, loving and just blurring platonic and romantic. Because these experiences i also never learnt to differentiate platonic from romantic, getting to the point that a couple times in the past, I've been 2milimeters away from another person's face not realising they were about to kiss me.

Im not sure what to do. I don't wanna ask her cause I'm scared of making it weird and Im not even sure if I want to know what she thinks cause, if she doesnt want a relationship then i have to distance myself immediately but if she does want one Im not sure how to act in relationships.

Ive been following you for a while now and i always read your advice with a lot of admiration. If you dont reply this is totally okay, i would not be surprised if you get a lot of people asking for advice and this is LONG. Letting this out of my chest is already a bit of a relief.

Hmmm this is difficult. Would you be open to allowing for some time for things to play out on their own? I know you say you need to back off if she's not open to a relationship, but since you don't want to ask, it sounds like you might need to wait a few weeks and see what happens. See if she initiates anything or if she continues to act the same. See how you feel after a few weeks, or if you kind of come to the point that you literally HAVE to say something. But yeah, judging by the fact that both of you have some struggles with relationships, it might be that time is best here.
