why am i crying over Deadliest Catch today?
currently on season 3, and Jonathan and the Time Bandit crew watched this dude fall overboard so they hauled ass to rescue him. Here is why I cried:
the panic in Jonathan’s voice when he called the man overboard, even though it wasn’t anyone he knew
Jonathan radioing to the other captain that “We got him! We got him!”
The deck crew being so nice to this guy they pulled up, finding him blankets and towels and helping him walk to the galley because his legs were numb from the hypothermia
“you’re safe now, man”
Jonathan coming down to meet him and just hugging him oh my god
Josh (the guy they pulled up) just repeating, “I’m so lucky you guys were there; you saved my fucking life man”
“last time we did that, we pulled a dead guy out of the water” “but not this time, yeah, Jon?”
Andy saying that when they pulled Josh in, he was saying, “Please get me on board. I don’t want to die. I’m so fucking cold”
Jonathan “we just redeemed ourselves” because they saved him after losing that other guy a few years ago
just Jonathan being a total dad the whole time
