anyway I made a friend at university today (Orthodera novaezealandiae) and I’m taking it as a good omen bc I haven’t seen one of these beautiful native mantises in years! And Lo and behold! I found one on the first day of my entomology paper! My lecturer was pleased :)

alright comrades i am, perhaps against my better judgement, returning to the Accursed Halls of Learning at my Wretched Local Campus to obtain further Qualifications

in other words I’m going back to university to learn about bugs and moss and hoping like hell it gets me a job I don’t hate. wish me luck.
