Big news!!! As you might be able to tell from the pictures, we’re expecting again! The twinnies are so excited to be big sisters, especially Anya! It’s just one baby this time - I was hoping for twins again - which is still very exciting!

The girls have just recently aged up to toddlers, and we’re having a big birthday party for them next week! I hope they enjoy it, it’ll be the last time all eyes are on them for a while!

I saw somewhere online that was black swan experiments that made him colorblind.. I just don't know that it is a theory or the truth...

Yes, Xu Mo has been colour blind ever since childhood. It’s not explicitly mentioned whether he became colour blind because of the BLACK SWAN experiments, but what we do know is that at the time of the experiments, when he was still a boy, he was already colour blind. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he became colour blind because of the experiments, though. 

From the Time Pass story “Before the Traffic Light” (《红绿灯前》）unlocked after reaching Chapter 29, it’s shown that young Xu Mo couldn’t tell whether the traffic light was red or green:

Not far away from me, the lonely figure of a boy stood at the traffic junction.

Completely soaked through, his clothes clung to his thin frame. But he seemed wholly oblivious to it. His only response was to raise his head and look at the traffic light, his expression blank and confused.

[MC]: Xu Mo...

The face of the boy before me was pale, and there was no trace of warmth in his eyes. Through the haziness of the rainy mist, it was as if he was a transparent bubble that would disappear anytime. 

The red light blinked. Once, twice. A warning of danger.

At the zebra crossing, the boy took a tentative step onto the road.

There was a moment’s hesitation in that step. But in the next instant, he began walking forward again.

The blare of the horn pierced the silence of the night. Instinctively, he turned towards the source of the sound, an intense white light covering him like a huge web.

Fear broke out in me, and my body responded before I could think—

[MC]: Careful!

Rushing forward, I reached out and pulled that blurry figure into my arms.

[MC]: The light is red now! Don’t daydream when you’re crossing the road! Do you know how dangerous it is!

After saying this all in a single breath, I suddenly realised that at this time, Xu Mo wouldn’t know who I was, and that he would probably be perplexed by my actions.

As I expected, that face, previous devoid of any trace of life, broke into a look of surprise, and his widened eyes flashed.

Young Xu Mo: ...You look different from the others.

My heart leapt a beat. Could he...tell that I didn’t belong here?

The leaves rustled. The wind at night was chilly. 

My exposed arm was already covered with goosebumps. Though he was only wearing one layer of clothing, it was as if he didn’t feel cold.

I couldn’t help but take his hand in mine. The coolness in my palm startled me.

He frowned, but didn’t try to escape my grasp. He merely looked down, where we were connected at our hands. 

Following his gaze, what I saw made me take a sharp breath.

That thin arm was covered in bruises large and small. At places, I could even faintly detect the marks left by needles.

Just a short chapter.

It hurts to know that you don't really matter to the person anymore. Once lovers now feels like strangers. Being rejected hurts bad but at least he was honest about it. About him not wanting me as much as before. I could feel it slowly fading away, the closeness we once had feels so far away now, the giddiness of talking to each other vanished. Conversations limited to few words, dont really know whether to keep on going or not. His presence not felt for days and those days feels like years. The agony of waiting for a notification to pop up that says "Hey, I miss you." or just even a "How are you?" can brighten my day.

I don't know what I saw in you. It was only supposed to be a one time thing. I have no intention in letting you in, to see through me. To make you feel loved and cared. The thing that i hate about myself is how could i let someone break my wall like that. How could i easily let him in my reserved soul.

You're good. You're really good. You caught me in my weakest moment, showed me concern, made me feel that you were really there for me. Then all of a sudden, you got cold and distant, telling me that I should know that we will reach this point.

I just wish that those 2 months filled with love and bliss never happened. I just wish you didn't try to get close to me. I wish you never told me things that gave me hope.

I thought my walls were high enough. I guess it was obvious that you were just playing tricks, but the thing is i still let myself believe that you were sincere.

I should have never talked to you.
