Peri Brown -> Timelash
TimeLash IX - Paul McGann
Hello dears,
@silverfoxstole @eighthwholove @sanguinarysanguinity @know-it-all-freak
last weekend (25.10.25-26.10.25), the time had finally come. Paul was here in Germany, after ten years back as a guest at the TimeLash Convention, and I was finally able to meet him ❤️
Here are a few first pictures of this:
(with and without him)
I was so nervous at the autograph session that I could hardly get a word out.
His reaction.
He took my hands across the table and simply smiled at me.
And by God that man is gorgeous. His eyes, his smile, his entire behavior is so true, so authentic, nothing is staged.
If I hadn’t already been a fan of him before, then I would be one now for sure.
At the photo session he treated everyone very warmly and did not rush anyone. Everyone could take the time they needed.
Even if the Photo crew had to wait little😊
He himself paid us fans many compliments and his panels were great.
Here are a also a few shots:

I also have a few videos. I will try to post some of them in coming posts.
On Sunday morning I visited his table again and I brought him a “Knoppers”. That’s something special. In case you don’t know it, it’s a little snack with nuts, wafers chocolate and milkcream. Here, we call it “das Frühstückchen” which translates to “little breakfast”.
I also gifted him a cup.
I know, totally cliché a cup with a Tardis on it, but it doesn’t matter to me, what he does with the cup later. His joy was genuine, and I think you see that in the picture.
Nevertheless, to be completely honest, he was probably more pleased about the Knoppers 😅
I went home with three autographs’ (one is on the outside, of my comic from the 8th Doctor), a photo with him. More Photo’s and Videos of him, many happy memories and an unbelievable joy in my heart.
Like mentioned before I will check everything out and post some more stuff in following entries.
You all provided me with so much god stuff of Paul, so I hope now I had a few good pieces for you.
Sincerely Sirastar
He's like a kicked puppy. Especially if you consider another timelord's opinion of the Doctor's relationships with humans.

Another Sixth Doctor story that often gets derided but I genuinely enjoy: "Timelash."
Now, it does not escape my notice that poor Peri gets kidnapped/otherwise threatened yet again by a deranged man who feels the need to conceal himself due to disfigurement and wants to force Peri to stay with him [insert "if I had a nickel" meme here]...
But we also have Herbert, and let me tell you I consider this story to be one of Six's most entertaining just on his and Herbert's dynamic alone. I mean, just one example of an exchange between them that leaves me cracking up laughing every single time:
Doctor: Listen, Herbert, if you want to do something useful while waiting to enter Valhalla, could you read off the numbers on that screen you see immediately in front of you?
Herbert: Of course! This one?
Doctor [puzzled by the question, returns to stand by Herbert]: ...How many screens do you see immediately in front of you?
Herbert: Just the one.
Doctor: That's the one.
hello fellow timelash enjoyers (of which i’m sure there are many), have we considered that the doctor and borad are deliberate parallels of each other? evidence:
both are quasi immortal individuals whose appearance has changed since they last met, in a time that no one but them remembers
both concerned with some sort of time travel device
both have (very different) reasons to care about the wellbeing of a woman with a medallion (the dr compares vena to peri explicitly)
‘we thought you were dead’/‘as i thought the borad was’
both of them make use of an experiment that creates an illusion that they’re in a place they’re not - the borad’s cloning, the time break that allows the doctor to move about invisibly while a static image of him remains in one place
the story opens with the doctor intending to take peri to the eye of orion - like he said he wanted to do in the twin dilemma, in a scene where she later drives him off her through the use of a mirror. in the final confrontation with the borad the doctor causes him to recoil by smashing the mural to reveal a mirror.
this does of course put an interesting spin on the bit where the doctor tells the borad that he’s too hideous to be loved and ‘nobody wants you. nobody needs you. nobody cares’. curious to hear anyone else’s thoughts on this!
a gifset of the Sixth Doctor in Timelash, trying to free the TARDIS from a Kontron tunnel! requested by the lovely @outismm who is joining me in Six brainrot hell 🙈💖
