"Occupation of the TV Station": Saburo Musashi's family (Sho Sakurai) faces an armed group. "Yokai"—Aooni (Fuma Kikuchi) begins to act.

Shō Sakurai from the group "Arashi" plays the lead role in the third season of the drama series from the TV channel "NTV"—"Occupation of the TV Centre" (starts on 12 July, every Saturday at 21:00, P.M. on japanese time, and at 14:00 on european time. The first episode is ten minutes longer). The plot and stills from the first episode were released on the eve of the premiere.

The Occupation series began in 2023 with the drama "Hospital Occupation", followed by "Airport Occupation" in 2024, and now the third instalment. The main highlight of the series remains the plot about an armed group in masks that makes demands with strict deadlines, and as the story develops, the motives and identities of the criminals become known. However, the more that is revealed, the deeper the hidden secrets become. Fast pace, unexpected twists and constant tension have made this franchise popular. This time, the plot revolves around the armed group "Yokai", whose members hide their faces behind masks of Japanese demons. They take over the "Nippon TV" station, which is broadcasting live coverage of the Tokyo gubernatorial election. The leader of the group, wearing a Hannya mask, takes 500 hostages and declares: "This television station is now under the control of the Yokai group. If you interrupt the broadcast, we will kill all the hostages".

At that moment, Saburo Musashi (Sakurai), his wife Yuko (Manami Higa), daughter Emiri (Honoka Yoshida) and colleague Sakura Izumi (Sonin) are in the building. Trying not to be noticed, they look for a way out. Meanwhile, Tokyo Police Security Chief Keigo Yasiro (Katsunori Takahashi) encounters Officer An Honjo (Kumi Takiyu), who has been assigned to command the operation despite her limited experience. A conflict erupts between them.

Will the BCCT team be able to free the hostages and prevent a catastrophe?

Against the backdrop of these events, Ao-oni (Blue Mask)—Koichi Yamato (Fuma Kikuchi), who escaped in the finale of the previous season—appears. He begins to take action. Musashi faces an even more insidious conspiracy and a deadly trap. An exciting thriller begins, where blinking means missing out on life.

The drama's official website features a special page for the Yokai Party, led by Hanaya, which is participating in the Tokyo gubernatorial election. Their motto is "Look into the darkness to reveal the truth." What "truth" do they intend to reveal? What "dark sides" are hidden behind the candidates? The mystery begins to unfold…
