========= "Grounding"/ centering practice suggestions are usually biased, —a.k.a. "Pop" spirituality is usually BULLSHIT. ––––– They're biased toward the experience of sensory‐dominant people. This leaves ethical, logical and intuitive-/ pattern‐seeking–dominant minds with little to go on in regards to figuring out how to focus and calm their bodies, etc.. For instance, I have friends who feel more centered in water & near aquatic habitats. That's still SENSORY, but it's not literal "ground", so the bias runs even deeper. Myself, I go into stupor & all of my emotions blunt when I try the usual recommended grounding practices.
