So, Jessica...

I’ve seen some pretty angry and dissapointed people about the whole Jessica issue, and I get it, I do. We got our ship for a second and then they messed it up (they didn’t even let us have ONE episode, they fucked us over on the same episode they got together... NOT FAIR) but I’m not mad about how things are developing and mostly, I still have hope (writers please don’t let me down).

In my ideal world, Wyatt and Lucy were divorced by now, Jessica was with somebody else but they had a kid together and that text was a reminder not to forget to pick her up or whatever. In this fantasy world of mine their relationship was fucked up and our Wyatt would have been devasted that she was with someone else but in time would have realized that he wasn’t heartbroken over it and would have just been happy that she was alive. Because even if he wasn’t in love anymore (yes, cause he loves Lucy, but mostly because he himself as a person didn’t feel the same strong feelings he once felt), he still loved her. The best part is that this wyatt is not an asshole and can get along with Jessica no problem and would coparent awesomely!

That was my ideal world, but that’s not what we got ... and that’s also okay, I can see a lot of ways for it to get better for us (Wyatt/Lucy fans)

For starters, I’m glad we are getting this storyline now, I’ve always felt that as the show deals with time travel, Jessica coming back was always a possibility and would be forever hanging over their heads, always in the back of Wyatt’s (and Lucy’s) mind, so yeah, the sooner the better.

Personally, I don’t blame Wyatt for choosing his wife, what he had with Lucy was barely starting and Jessica was his wife, someone who he has idolized for the past six years. He started the mission with this goal in mind, and now that it’s there, right in front of him, he has to at least try. I get it, of course I get it! I want Wyatt to give it a try and then realize that he’s not the same person he was six years ago, that Jessica herself isn’t the same person he fell in love with, (maybe even because he’s actually in love with someone else). Much like I said before, I want them to decide together that it’s over. Mostly because Lucy deserves a man that has no doubts about his feelings for her.

ANYWAY, that’s me liking the storyline but I do have my reservations, the main one being:

WE DON’T HAVE THE TIME. I need them to hurry the fuck up and get Lucy and Wyatt back together ASAP Who knows if we’ll get a third season and I refuse to accept that they’ll drag this until 2x10 and then give us what we want 5 minutes before the credits roll...

But also, this whole thing is hurting Lucy and I just cannot deal with it. I love Lucy and this season has been so terrible to her. I just want to wrap her in bubble wrap and not let anything or anyone hurt her anymore :(
