Musical Theatre: Chess
This musical is actually unique in the way that, it is one of the only musicals to have been on the radio. One night in Bangkok, a song that comes up in the second half of the musical, actually popped up on the radio. One of the writers, Bjorn Ulvaeus, was actually part of ABBA, they were definitely on the radio. This means awesome music. This is a story of chess, but chess acts as a battleground for US vs USSR, a metaphor for what one truly loves, and the only thing in life that is truly black and white. This is available in concert format with Adam Pascal, Idina Menzel, and Josh Groban.
I picked up this incredible original cover from the people over @flamesofthephoenixcomics by artist Time Rice. Nightwing and Stargire on a Grayson 1 cover. The accompanying COA says it was drawn during SEMOCon 2019. I've never heard of Mr. Rice, but the work was too incredible to pass up. As a big fan of Nightwing/Dick Grayson (and Starfire) I had to have it. Now it has a permanent home in my personal collection. If anyone knows Mr. Rice, please pass on my compliments.
