for the wip game, kiss or grin?? i’m quite transparently digging for fluffy moments haha

I'm going to give you two snippets, because these are the two WIPs I'm most excited about and I can't help myself lol

Superhero/villian AU

“What are you doing here?”

“Released early on good behavior,” she said with a grin, stepping closer to him.

“So they let you serve —” James looked at his watch. “Two hours of a five year sentence?”

She smirked. “I never said I didn’t release myself.”

“I’m just going to bring you back there, you know.”

She pushed him backwards and he fell into a seated position on the edge of the bed. She straddled him, her lips nearly brushing against his cheek as she slowly brought her mouth to his ear and whispered, “You’re going to try.”

Marching Band AU (this involves a Nerf gun, not a real one)

Without thinking, he leaned forward, and his lips met Lily’s sooner than he thought they would. The kiss was soft, sweet, and he felt her hand press against his chest. Then, he felt hard plastic join it.

He backed up slowly, raising his arms. Lily’s other hand came up to grab the multi-colored neon gun she had aimed at him. “Et tu, Lily?” James asked.

“It’s Brutus, and you have five seconds before I shoot.”

James grinned, then ran.

🔗 - What has been your favorite dynamic to write for? (romantic or platonic)

For most of my time in the marauders fandom I would have said Remus & Lily, but recently I've been enjoying Sirius & Lily a lot, specifically in their relationship over the years and how it exists outside of her eventual relationship with James.

🦴 - Something you hate to/will never write

Aside from anything I find morally icky, I would probably never write cisswap within a story, as in they swap genders as part of the plot because of a potion or a spell or something. Or bodyswap, for the same reason plus the massive privacy violation. Not my thing.

🏖 - Share a funny scene in one of your WIPs

“Oh, would you look at that,” Sirius said as Remus finished eating, holding out his wrist as if he was wearing a watch. “It’s time for Remus to abandon us again.” “We spend literally all of our free time together except for this.” “Not enough. We should be spending practices together, too. You were supposed to pick the trumpet with us,” Sirius said, referring to the day in fifth grade when they all chose what instrument they wanted to play. Remus decided at the last minute to choose percussion instead, causing a week-long rift between the two and starting an argument that Sirius would never let go of. Remus rolled his eyes. “Will you give it a rest?” “I can’t give it a rest! Why wouldn’t you want to be a trumpet?” “Because,” Remus said, standing up and gathering up his tray. “Why blow when you can bang?” And with that Remus made his way toward the exit, leaving Sirius’ jaw dropped nearly to the table and James and Lily collapsed against each other in laughter.
