Been a while since I posted anything, I know. But if anything's going to distract me from the STRESS it's shoving my OCs in ya'll face. And you know what? Have some pokemon with it. The teams are pretty carefully chosen based on ways to round out the character's personality rather than balance. Some make sense for their abilities, some make sense with how they'd treat the pokemon (Yes, Kliv's abilities are Electricity, but no Eevee would last a day with her without evolving into a Sylveon.), and some are just things they love like nature or reminding them of a friend.
