Pretty much that.

Equius loved Roxy. Deeply, platonically. No other way about it; with all the time he's spent away from Nepeta, he's grown to have pale feelings for a few people, but none of it compared to what he felt for Roxy.

As the Void player he was closest to, he was always concerned that if she died, she would share his fate. So he did his best to try and be close to her, and somehow, it worked. Despite his general weirdness, she seemed to like him.

He stuck by her as best he could through all of it, accompanying her on a trip through the Void, offering to fight for her whenever he thought she needed it (she never did, really).

He warned her about Lord English, and was even planning to go and grab her to keep her safe. His commitment to Kanaya kept him from doing so.

He's glad that he at least got the chance to tell her how he felt, and that she felt the same.

He plans to set aside some time to go exploring between the bubbles.
