During a weird mental breakdown I stripped my entire room off of posters and fandom stuff I've had for years and now I go to sleep staring at a cupboard that used to have glow in the dark stars and a lots of man utd stuff and 3/4 of my brain is saying thank God you're accepting that you're old now and the 1/2 of the 1/4 is saying please put it back up and the last part is just too lazy to do anything

the way I go about carrying myself, and really all my interpersonal relationships, is SO VERY different from how those things are presented on TV, and I can't tell if TV is just unrealistic or if I'm just weird / somehow incorrect in my humaning??

Anger is the most likely culprit. They feel hurt/mad, and belittling the focal point of their anger is how they make themselves feel better. It’s obviously not the best way, but not everyone can handle things in a mature fashion.
