While there weren't many, this is one of my favorite dickkory scenes/moments of the season; not only because the chemistry between them is just so prominent (and Kory's heart eyes were in full effect while Dick was doing something so mundane), but also because the scene didn't have to be included yet it was.
But after watching it again I realized that Dick's phone call with Barbara was right before it. Literally seconds between the two interactions. And from the two conversations you can clearly see how Dick is his authentic self with Kory.
When Barbara asks him what he thinks of the new T signal, he's positive about it and says he wants her to make it bigger than the Bat signal. Of course he was likely joking about making it bigger, but the point is that he gives off the impression of really liking this new symbol. Yet when Kory asks how he likes the signal, he isn't as enthusiastic and tells her he only took a look at it because he was asked to, and jokes with her that it's nothing more than a T in the sky.
We know that Dick doesn't like the attention of the press and prefers to remain in the shadows after missions; which is what we saw in 3x01 with Gar and Conner talking to the cops, and Kory representing the team with the reporters.
He was clearly trying to do his best to please Barbara, as they were attempting to try again at their relationship; a nice gesture on his part. But it was also nice to see that with Kory he's relaxed and can say what he really thinks. Because like always, he knows that with Kory there's no judgment. And the fact that this moment was in the episode titled 'Home', and they were just being cute and domestic in "their kitchen"; it was a nice way to show that they're still close, especially with them being so occupied with their personal situations during the season.
