Not quite the translation I had read from a fellow fan.

Similar words but rather different meanings. It's not that hell is empty because all the devils are here, it's that hell is "a void", suggesting it's empty as in boring/dull, so the devil comes here for entertainment.

I'm not sure which symbol the title refers to. The cross? The double meaning of "passion"? Something else?

Doctor Who: Trilogy of Gods AU - Title Art (November 2025) and Synopsis reveal

I've been keeping it under raps for a while now, but you know what? I think I'll finally unveil this project that's been in the works for a while now. ;)

While I have been wanting to get into Doctor Who for a long time, I must confess that what finally got me into Doctor Who was the concept of the Pantheon of Discord (perhaps it's the brief 2022 TMA phase talking). After creating my own Pantheon god OCs, it only made sense for me to reinterpret this idea: Adding new characters while exploring the canon cast, trying to fill in gaps in the lore, and ironing out a few issues with the writing of Fourteen and Fifteen's eras.

The main AU story itself will be split into three stories, the first being a rewrite/prequel and the other two being new stories:

"Lucky Devil"

"Art for Art’s Sake"

"The New Human"

Synopses for each story under the cut for post length btw if you are curious, although they MAY be subject to a few changes.

(DISCLAIMER: Since I started creating the foundations for my AU a month before "Wish World" and "The Reality War" came out, these episodes will NOT be canon and Fifteen will still be around (he's a central character after all). Additionally, for the sake of being concise, a few other episodes from Fifteen's era will either not be canon, vaguely-referenced for comedy, or make appearances in flashbacks (mostly in "Lucky Devil").)

Synopsis for "Lucky Devil": During a Christmas party with Fifteen, Fourteen and their companions, Lady Luck, the God of Fortune, recounts her relationship with the Doctor (from Ten onwards - but mainly focused on Fourteen and Fifteen’s eras) and how this relationship evolved. She also discusses her very complicated relationships to other Pantheon gods.

Synopsis for "Art for Art's Sake": Fifteen and Lady Luck decide to visit Ruby Sunday at her internship in London's Reginbahr Museum of Creative Arts, helping artist Mari Tamayo prepare for her first international exhibition. The gallery itself has been plagued by a slew of strange events over the last three months - perhaps due to the arrival of a new god and the subsequent return of a certain trio of gods...

Synopsis for "The New Human": Fifteen, Lady Luck and Belinda Chandra are requested by UNIT to help investigate a research hospital in Tokyo, which has been abandoned for three months due to "a horrifying incident". When a God of Biological Life - and her connection to the hospital - is discovered, new bonds are made, old misunderstandings become resolved, and two bitter gods devise a plot to wreak chaos on the mortal realm once and for all.

Jackalope Hunting, semi-final title art. The original is greyscale and layered, so there's a ton to flexibility I haven't even really gotten to fully play with yet. But I'm really happy with how the polished Jackalope looks.
