This is a great depiction of our relationship: I go on-and-on talking about myself, and @matteleine laughs at my not-so-funny jokes. “He is just like his father: good at taking care of people,” his mother once said. It’s true, and I don’t know how I became the wife of such a caring person. All I can say is that I am #SoGratefulForYou. 📷: @flytographer ***** Since I can't stop talking about myself and this is the first day of the @ToneItUp #TIUBikiniSeries, this is a good time for an introduction. #TIUIntroduction. I became a #TIUgirl in Dec 2016. I was meal preppin' and working out with K&K (@KatrinaAScott & @KarenaDawn) on screen until Matt's RnRAZ a few years ago. We were shopping at Whole Foods & @TIUshell spotted my #TIUgrocerylist. She proceeded to "stalk" me. She shared that her wedding gown wasn't fitting her because she was getting a butt 😂, and invited me to a meet-up, even though I lived 5.5 hours away from Phoenix. Being an athlete himself, Matt knew the power/appeal/lure of a team. So he drove 5.5 hours each way to take me to the #TIUmeetup. That's when I met more inspiring #TIUgirls, such as @JennSheaaz @tiuBetsy Sarah, Natalie. These girls kept my TIU journey fun and sustainable. Keeping in touch with them on Instagram inspires me to continue & pick it back up if I get out of practice. During wedding planning, #ToneItUp was a guide. I followed the @abqAcneClinic elimination diet to find out how my skin reacted to various foods. In addition, I experimented with the ketogenic diet. I seemed to have good control over my diet & exercise. However, I was told I can enjoy/ eat anything for my wedding. I took that to mean I can eat anything for my honeymoon as well. My diet consisted of high fat, high protein, high carbs. I gained weight. With so much control and discipline pre-wedding, the part of me that needed flexibility, spontaneity, flooded in after the wedding. I lost control. I lost motivation. I need the #TIUbikiniseries2018 to get back on track, because I believe we all need inspiration, community, and sisterhood to thrive. I'm happy that @KaliAutrey @justasbright @hannahlalalala decided to join the sisterhood! (at Crownpoint, New Mexico)
