TLAM Masterlist!
“To Love A Monster”
TLaM for abbreviation
pairing: mutant reader x human ateez
genres kinda: trauma fiction, slow burn, monster fic, eventual smut, not all members are romance options, not all members are nice to reader. a learning to love fic with the 8 men that taught me to love myself and life. has a lot of dark themes such as experimentation
Synopsis:
We all have characteristics that deem us different; and these differences are often not viewed in a good way by society. Whether it’s the way our brain functions, the color of our skin, our height/weight, or what we lack that is typically needed to survive in the modern day world such as proper sight, hearing, or even two legs. A lot of these differences can harm ourselves or others without proper care or precautions, and thus we are deemed dangerous, unworthy, not good enough.
But it doesn’t mean we are unlovable, or undeserving, or some freak of nature. It can make it hard to be loved, and love in return.... but not impossible. It takes eight men, and then some, to learn all the ways love can form for someone who really is, by society’s definition, a freak of nature: a mutant.
Tomahawk away!
PHILIPPINE SEA (May 27, 2019) -- A Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) launches from the aft vertical launching system (VLS) aboard United States Navy guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54)....
....during a live-fire demonstration as part of a training exercise between naval forces from Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, and the United States.
USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) features Vertical Launching Systems forward (just behind the 5-inch gun) and aft (just forward of the flight deck).
That missile being launched can cruise at 550 mph (890 kph)....98–164 ft (30–50 m) above the surface -- evading most radar detection....carrying a wide variety of munitions....that can be precisely-targeted to go through a specific window of a specific building roughly 1,000 miles (1,700 km) away!
(Yeah....”Tomahawk” is a most appropriate name for this deadly weapon!)
Boatwain’s Mate 2nd Class Ryan Dorsey, USN, alerts the crew over the ship’s announcing system (1MC) of the impending Tomahawk missile launch.
