MYTHOLOGY DAY 9 - TLANCHANA
Tlanchana is a fierce snake-tailed mermaid from the Toluca Valley of Mexico.
She has dark grey-black skin, wears strings of flowers and river creatures, and has a shining moon-crown.
She’s venerated as the ruler of her lagoons and swamps, if she’s treated with respect by local fishermen, she’s benevolent. If she’s disrespected, she’ll drag you under the water to eat.
