A drawing of a Lady I did while watching telly at my mum’s house. I forgot how fun drawing on photos is!

I took the photo at @kentwellhall back in June (and she has a ferret because I got to hold a ferret there)

ALSO SORRY I know Kentwell Hall is Tudor but I just felt compelled to draw a medieval-ish lady (albeit with a somewhat Tudor neckline) Anyway just imagine it’s in a fantasy world idk

Speaking of, drawing on photos like this reminds me of being 12 when I would use pictures of castles from magazines etc to use as backgrounds for my drawings of Redwall characters.

Now here’s my ramble about this drawing…

I was soo expecting Cake to win the cat girl poll BUT honestly I’m soo happy Mae won since I’ve never drawn any Nitw fanart despite many hours of playing it.

it’s been a WHILE but it was fun getting myself back into the Night In the Woods headspace for this illustration. I tried to think not just of the plot and characters of the game but also the feeling of the environment and gameplay. I thought of the dramatic points in the story but kept returning to my main memories of the game, aka jumping around on wires, rooftops, and endlessly walking into and out of town, (stealing pretzels) all with a slow steady pace of gameplay marked by occasional calm times.

Maybe that’s why the churchyard stood out to me? Because it was a regular stop on my town route, but unlike the rest of town this place was quiet, absent of crowds, and although peppered with trash it was wilder.

So yep, that’s how I settled on this scene for my final pic. I liked the idea of doing something among the rooftops/wire-tops but drawing lots of plants also just felt more my thing.

I’m also getting used to Procreate soo this is one of my first all-digital illustrations! I’m still v much a techy beginner but I really like how this turned out, in all its autumnal hazy scruffiness.

Just a bit more from my pokemon gijinka doodle pages

Results of my first monthly drawing poll results are IN and the winner is MAE! But also BIRDIE aka my neighbours deaf elderly cat who visits me a lot!

Why ‘also’? Because when I checked the results on Sunday, the highest scorer was Mae (and thus I began work), but when I rechecked before bed on Sunday night, the joint winner was Birdie! Who was the joke answer BUT i love that you love her.

SO as the winner, Mae will be the subject of my monthly Patreon artwork, which i will release before the end of July. The artwork will be downloadable on the Computer Club tier and will be sent out as a print to my Snail Mail tier patrons 💛🐌💛

But what about Birdie?? She will feature too, though I have yet to decide in what way…

ALSO I was so surprised that Cake wasn’t the runaway winner! With most of my followers being via my Adventure Time tarot deck I assumed the AT charas would be miles ahead, but this was profoundly NOT the case.

So this is the banner illustration I drew for my Patreon page (it’s funny cuz they’re holding a banner and it’s a banner illustration right??) Anyway I just enjoy drawing a silly little parade.

I intended to colour this originally and I also did NOT intend for it to get so detailed, but given that I’ve been spending some of the past year drawing very detailed linework for my colouring book that can’t be a surprise.

SO Linework it is, but what’s fun is that I uploaded this drawing as a downloadable colouring page! For free! So if that’s thing you’d like, you can find it here LINK
