Here, at last, is the big rewrite *of* my Homestuck rewrite doc itself, a list of the changes I would make (with illustrative page links), heavily inspired by the works of @thelifetimechannel, @meraki-sunset, and, to a lesser extent, @friendlybatteringram, @bladekindeyewear, and @act8official. Credits are given for art linked within specifically created for it.

Let’s try this one more time.

John Egbert leaves behind the ruins of a shattered timeline to F1X TH1S, going back just far enough to stop one meddlesome troll from getting her hands on the ring of life. From there, he and his friends (armed with the lessons of their failed timeline) have one last try to get things right. They’ll have to overcome embarrassing personal problems, obnoxiously on-the-nose land quests, and more to get to the other side of the door - and maybe leave the multiverse better than they found it. Because if the Ultimate Reward is making a new universe, the ultimate accomplishment is making one worth living in.

The Lifetime Channel: Double Death of the Author (aka TLCstuck) is a complete!!!* AU/alternate ending/fix-it fic following the Game Over versions of the characters and focusing on positive character development and closure. It includes 1400+ pages, multiple animated flashes, four walkarounds, and over 300,000 words of dialog. *We’re also discussing a director’s cut to touch up some corners we cut the first time around, but Gill’s taking a breather first.

I enjoy the running gag in TLC that the Alphas grimly refer to trickster mode but refuse to provide details when pressed. The Betas probably get together with a conspiracy board like 'Candy? Lederhosen?? Marriage???'
