I made a Rex Dangervest Head cannon sheet + goofy Rex Doodlevest!!!

This took me 10 hours and 27 minutes holy. I will go into more detail after pictures

Explains/Details

- Age

I believe that Rex was in Undar of The Dryard System for around 3 or so years and then escaped and took 1 year to heal from injury and take care of his mental and physical health and took 1 other year to assemble his plans of being a badass and serving. yeah!

- Sexuality

I head cannon that Rex is gay (MLM). I don't really know how to explain that.

- Father Figure to his Raptors

I don't need to explain

- Hearing Problems

From being in a literally spaceship crash against a meteor to listening to loud music and being aware of it makes it a little clear to me.

- Limping, Leg Issues

This branches off from the crash. I head cannon that when Rex landed into Undar he landed on his legs, causing them to break badly. Since he was stuck under there and couldn't move I think that his legs would have healed wrong and had given him permanent leg issues. His broken legs and also the inability to move in the real world yet, would have caused him to not be out of there sooner. (and also him back then (Emmet) hoping that Lucy would help him) The year he took to heal, he managed to reduce the pain from walking but it would still cause him pain or irritation in his legs. This is why his boots and soles are harder so he wouldn't fall so much.

- Lost Eye and Scars

When Rex crashed into the meteor, the big windows of the rescue house ship broke. The glass shards stabbed and cut along his arms, with some piercing into Rex's left eye, causing it to have to get removed. He wears a glass eye that represents his raptors for being basically his only friends at the time and sort of his children. Rex also plays with his raptors (of any age/size) so some marks are from him playing with his raptors.

- Rocket Boots

For Rex to jump higher because there is no way he can jump that high (in irl ik this is from a child's imagination) Rex would also be more radical with rocket boots.

- Facial Hair and Long Hair

I felt like it fit him more and he looks radicaler. Long hair makes men look more badass and awesomer.

- Sharp Teeth

I have a head cannon for Emmet that Emmet is clumsy at times. One day or maybe multiple times, Emmet had fallen and chipped his tooth when he fell. When Emmet transitioned into Rex, Rex wanted to cover up the chipped tooth. So he gets a like teeth liners that he can put over his teeth to cover that tooth up. Sharp teeth are added to the liners to make him look more rad.

- The Blue Bracelet (Rex x Benny)

I personally ship Benny and Rex together. I feel like their relationship would be yapper x listener. I also feel like Rex and Benny would be a part of a polyamorus relationship. Rex x Benny x Lenny x GCBC

Do you think Rex can talk to his raptors?

LIke I know your fanfic has the translators and such, but I want to think that those are more for other people than Rex.

That’s a great question!

I do, in fact, believe that Rex can talk and interact with the raptors without the need for the translators.

So, thanks to Rex, Jurassic Park happens to be relevant (imo). In Jurassic Park, it is mentioned the raptors are so intelligent that they can learn to mimic sounds and actions. And that they are constantly learning.

Rex took that knowledge and utilized it to teach himself and his raptors a sort of language to communicate with each other. A mixture of clicks and whistles and calls that only the crew would know the meaning to.

Otherwise the raptors would just talk in their normal calls and growls and clicks to themselves and to strangers, since the translators are tuned to their normal animal sounds. So, yes, even Rex has a translator.

They utilize the specific language between each other face to face. Rex wanted to make sure that only he and his crew would understand the specific language between them.
