When I think if Aslan, I don't think of him as a god, all knowing and powerful, no, I think of him as a messenger for Narnia herself.
In my mind she is the ground they walk on, the wind that sings around them, the sea that reaches out to them.
It is She who is all knowing, and thus, She who guides them.
She is not all powerful, and there are things outside her control, but she does everything within her grasp to help and protect. She will take, but she will also provide in kind.
She is the one who gives them the information, however cryptic it may be.
Aslan is her messager, her voice when she cannot speak. He is not as powerful as her, but he is no less important, especially in grave times.
