tmihijabi said: That’s nothing at all like the PNW. More like you want to wear layers and shun umbrellas while drinking coffee as if your life depends on it because 6-7 hours of sunlight in winter.
Haha I can imagine you're correct, but no worries--all of these things are disconnected wants. I do desperately want to visit it though. Key word: visit.
Growing up where I did in PA meant an average of 70 days a year and limited light in winter. I honestly think that one of the prime motivators to go somewhere else was the lack of light. There's barely a difference in latitude between PA and VA, but for someone reason the amount of light and length of winter differs drastically.
I hear there are some well-paying jobs in Alaska, but I could get an incredible offer and still turn it down for that reason. I would go mad.
as salaam alaikum, inshaa Allah this message reaches all of you in the best of health and imaan. Do you know of any reputable online resources for learning Qur'anic Arabic? Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
Walaykum asalam :)
Insha'Allah you are well, jazakallahu khair.
Maybe the following sites can help (some require fees though):

A few weeks ago but it wasn’t for copyright infringement. It was shut down to “fight terrorism in the UK”.
You're kidding! SubhanAllah. Because obviously free copies of fiqh-us-sunnah are somehow the driving force behind the extremist ideology. *rolls eyes in disgust*
tmihijabi replied to your post:CHIPS AHOY DON’T HAVE LARD ANYMORE?!!
ASTAGHFIRULLAH THEY HAD LARD???????? :((((((
The ones in Canada did! One time this bechara in our MSA brought a few packs to a meeting. We all flipped out on him! it was sacrilege to even be seen with a pack loll
tmihijabi said: I usually use a really dark shade of eyeshadow smudged with an eyeliner brush. Liquid eyeliner goes on easily for me but I like the softer look the eyeshadow makes.
Using eye shadow does seem to have the prettiest effect if soft is what you're going for. It's clean without looking like you went through and smudged it after you drew it. I'm not very good with eye shadow application in any form, admittedly.
fobicology said: agreed. I however use the stick kohl which has no fallout and melts with your skin’s heat. I also heard you can soften pencil liners by heating them lightly with a lighter.
I may try that with a stick liner and experiment later. I haven't tried a stick kohl before. Kohl is probably the only instance where I like true black liner.

Haha I like "cold drink." Its incredibly general.
roseamer said: Americans must be sooo disappointed in france :/
Perhaps, haha. Admittedly, I think that my "need" for 24/7 things is more on a basis of being really bored or simply occupying such a small place a the moment, so I don't keep it properly stocked and find myself having to do shopping runs at the weirdest times.
Its mostly late-night boredom, however.

The Messenger of Allah (saaws) said: “Do not prevent the female slaves of Allah from going to the masjid, even though prayer in their homes is better for them.” So we are permitted to go to the mosque but salaah at home is better for us.
JazakAllah khair, this definitely clears that up.
