I can't believe I've done this!

First of all, I hate this episode and its crappy ending (and I had to read an Apritello comic aka "I understand nothing" to not be disappointed), secondly, I wanted to make this storyboard before 2026, but I just forgot about it again. So, here we are👏👏👏

I tried a total of two times to try and show how TOTTMNT Raphael and Mona would meet, and I have given up on both because I keep on wanting to change it

I was originally going to show it through a comic called "Raphael Meets... Himself?", but I don't like the format, story beats, or art on it so I stopped posting it.

THEN, I thought about making a fan made episode/ storyboard about it!! Here is my first attempt in doing that ⬇️

I think I want to stick with the video idea tho!

To answer your question on how Raph and Mona Lisa met, here's the very crappy summary of it!!

Just like the original 1987 episode, "Raphael Meets his Match", Raphael gets an invite to a costume party on a yatch through a scratch off contest card that the pizza place shown in Season 2 gave them.

On the back of the ticket, it says to take a plus one.

He takes April to tag along with him so she can make a report on it for Eastman High news and/or April Tonight.

In the scraped comic, I made it where Raph was dressed up as the red ranger, but idk what he and April should dress up as now tbh 🤷‍♀️ I'll reuse their old costumes from S1 probably

When the actual party begins, Raphael spots someone in the crowd in front of the entrance...

ITS HIMSELF?

Hah, no. It’s actually just someone dressed up as him !!

(here’s a quick sketch of how the costume looks like)

When Raphael and April approach this seemingly enthusiastic fan to take a picture, the two couldn’t help but notice how strange this person was acting. She (the person in the bootleg Raph costume) kept on impatiently rushing the small talk, started to act snappy, and even pushed April and Raph aside!

Raphael got suspicious, so he kept an eye out for this ‘super fan’ for the rest of the night. When he finally spots her in the swarm of dressed-up civilians, Raph sees her tripping over her own plush, bulky costume.

That’s when he noticed, just for a second, a… lizard tail peaking out?

Raph, leaving April behind, rushes after her as she slips her way into the wheelhouse. That’s when Raphael sees the girl's true identity beneath the phony costume…

She's a mutant lizard! And her name is Mona Lisa!

Raphael is quickly forced to look past the fact he met a new mutant when he sees her tying up the captain. Being the impulsive and agreesibe turtle he is, Raphael quickly assumed that Mona Lisa is up to no good. And Mona, who is just as angry and not very good at explaining, jumps into action.

The two of them start to fight,

cue a very aggressive scuffle

which is cut short when another ship crashes into an invading ship owned by Captain Filch.

That’s when his mutant lackeys with lucious hair similar to Mona’s start to invade the party ship and take hostages (AKA April and other civilians)

Raphael, still believing Mona is apart of this (and is even more suspicious of her bc she has hair like the mutant lackeys) continues to bicker with Mona Lisa when they run away from the wheelhouse and try to avoid the mutant lackeys…

Epic fail. Both Raph and Mona Lisa get caught, tied up, and thrown to the ship’s (ship? yatch? is it interchangeable?) basement.

That is when the two have a heart to heart when Mona starts crying about how she’s just a aggro mess up who’s angers ruins all missions + backstory time

I’m just gonna leave it at that because GYATT DAUMN. This post was LONGGGG… TYSM IF U MADE IT THIS FAR?? mb for the yap 🙏
