I received an Ask about my favorite Donnie blogs. I thought it would work just as well to reblog this old answer with some updates, since there have been some changes! <3 I don’t follow a lot of blogs that post Primarily Donnie stuff (wait, do I fall into this category? Am I a Donatello blog?? Do people follow me for anything other than my love of Donnie? I never thought about that before.) Anyway, these are all Donnie-Positive blogs. I don’t follow blogs that talk smack about my boys. :)
“This may turn into a bit of a shout out post! If you’re looking for some cute TMNT character blogs to follow, I personally enjoy @turtle-super-genius (Donnie is no longer active, sadly), @blog-ask-april-o-neil, @leonardo-hamato80 and @mirth-and-muscle (this Mikey & Raph blog is great but they aren’t active lately). These are Donnie, April, Leo and Mikey/Raph blogs (respectively) and they are one big family. They were recently joined by @h-e-doublehockey-stick as Casey and Professor Honeycutt (who I haven’t had a chance to follow.
As far as wonderful people who run blogs with great content and warm hearts, there are so many: @theherocomplex is just a beautiful person, inside and out. She knits, she plays great video games and writes epic fan fiction that will leave you crying in the corner and begging for more. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is a fellow Donnie fan and Apritello shipper. She does post about other fandoms, but she’ll steal your heart.
@kindervenom is fun and kind and such a sweet person. I’ve been following her blog since the beginning and I feel so fortunate that I have gotten to know her and @wumpusinthetardis, who has also quickly become a good friend within the fandom. They are Fili and Kili and it’s pretty adorable. Also, they are both Donnie fans!
@ponacopuck is a fan fiction writer who I’ve been following since forever and I love their Revoltech posts. Ponaco’s Click series is Donnie-centric and Pro-Apritello. :)
@suthnmeh is just SO amazingly talented! Her art is drool-worthy and her fic Ghost of a Chance, which she is writing with @violette-aner is a great read! Suth also shares my appreciation for Futurama and TMNT incorrect quotes! Turns out you can take pretty much any moment from Futurama and put Ninja Turts in it. Hilarity WILL ensue. Suth adores Donnie AND Apritello. If you happen to come upon a post saying that she is live streaming her art, you should definitely watch! I reblog her artwork constantly (especially her Apritello fluff) and tell everyone to give her ALL the love.
@hotmilkytea is lovely and is writing a heart wrenching (for me anyway) “what if” fic. Hint: What if Shredder had succeeded in his plan to mutate the Turtles into snakes? She’s also a fan of Donnie sass and Apritello. I really enjoy interacting with her!
@andraia452 and I chat frequently and she has made me smile on days when I might not have otherwise. She also has fun content and has played TMNT Mad Libs with me (not too many people showed interest so I don’t do it much). Although she doesn’t post much, she LOVES Donnie just like me, so I would definitely follow her.
@turtle-sketches and @turtle-sketches-talk (same person, two great blogs) is awesome. I make no secret of my Apritello shipping, but she writes some great Jhannatello fics (which are frequently only for adults, so please be advised). Her art is breathtaking (2003 era TMNT) and she created an OC named May, a plus-sized beauty who falls in love with Mikey and they have an adorable baby girl named Mabel… It’s all so sweet and you will probably cry. TS is a big fan of 2003 Donnie, so you won’t find much 2012 stuff if that’s what your looking for. I love all Donnies...
I also recommend @thievinghippo if you want some kind encouragement to get the creative energy flowing! This person runs a creativity challenge that helps so many people buckle down and focus on their art, fics, etc. It’s such a gift to the community. @koalagriton also writes some great fics (Jhannatello)! I find that most Jhannatello fan fiction is NSFW, so again, be advised. I really enjoy their writing and we squee over @turtle-sketches artwork! Other beautiful people in the fandom that you simply must follow are @mamashelle80 (she’s a must, truly), her bestie @foureyedturtle (account still active but she recently left Tumblr *sob*), @faithfulwhispers (does some great TMNT/Donnie artwork), @cesarin, @donatello-hamato, @geminidragonjasminealexandra, @illuminati-rom-hacks, @johnyume, @kraangprincess, @lorna-ka, @mooncalfe, @meinangel, @peterdicicco, @queequegg, @tmnt, @winnyverse. There are a couple of others I follow who are kind and supportive but their content is almost entirely NSFW or they participate in NSFW roleplays that aren’t appropriate for anyone under 18. :) Okay, I started this at 6am and I’m on a tablet, so I hope I didn’t leave anyone out! Apologies if I did! Edit: Darn it! I forgot to mention @servantofclio who wrote “Sewers to the Stars” a TMNT Mass Effect crossover. So, so good!” As I was saying to Clio today, you don’t have to be a Mass Effect fan (or even know anything about it) to enjoy this wonderful story. It’s pro-Apritello and introduces some great characters.
