whats your april's + casey relationship to the turtles + splinter?

April and Casey are sort of like older sisters to the turtles while splinter is a strange fatherly figure for them, especially for Casey. Splinter has definitely made Casey cry once or twice because he made her feel like his kid. Don't tell anyone though.

well no! he was actually four. toddler father??? WRONG AGAIN. he was a very old rat. let me explain

Splinter started out his life as a lab rat. He was receiving low doses of mutagen so scientists could find out its effects. One noted effect was slowed aging, which was actually because of the mutagen taking properties from the human scientists handling Splinter even in its diluted state, and not because of the mutagen itself. When he escaped at the age of two (really old for a lab rat) he was the human equivalent of around 29.

i want to start explaining the lore but i don't think i have the energy to organize my thoughts on that anytime soon and i kind of want to be mysterious idk....

anyway i made a height chart that may change

mikey is a pink bellied side neck turtle, leo is a japanese pond turtle, raph is a red cheeked mud turtle, and donnie is an oblong turtle
