theme of s3 and s4

I was overthinking about season 3 and was wondering what’s the overall theme of it. I kind of think the theme is about Danny and Mindy being a couple and them thinking of marriage/proposal.

“Every girl dreams of her perfect proposal, but when I imagined the day that Danny Castellano would propose, I did not imagine it would look like this.” - Mindy

 This voice-over from Mindy, in Lahiri Family Values, was right after Danny finds out they’re going to have a baby. It seems like Mindy is saying to the audience on what’s the main point of season 3. Mindy is still thinking about what she wants from Danny during the whole season 3. She wants to get married. She didn’t forget what she wanted after Danny finds out she’s pregnant. It’s almost like the baby plot is plot #2 or something in the season 3 and TMP.

 I think it kind of shows that TMP writers are not going to change the show to be always about the baby and making characters just parents. TMP is still what it was before. I kind of think the baby plot is like plot C in the show.  Kind of like in Parks and Recreation, Bones, Raising Hope. I think it’s true because after Lahiri Family Values, the episodes weren’t majorly about babies and stuff. I think it was Mindy dealing with everything like the show always been.

Season 3 ended it with a cliffhanger with Danny thinking of not wanting to get married and then meeting Mindy’s parents. It made me think the theme is still going. It seems like season 4 is “Marriage/Proposal? part 2″. But that theme could end in early season 4. (Like Danny agrees to marry Mindy after meeting the Lahiris and the timejump to current time-September.) Season 4, I think is definitely about parenting and them actually getting married. (Season 4b or season 5 is them in a marriage.)

Randomly looking at the promo pics for 3x17 of The Mindy Project, and some of those stills are from 3x16. Did fox mess up, or were the scenes with Danny in the office filmed late? I doubt it's the second one.
