Trinkett and Frank are veryyyyy… Ava/Caspar coded to me. Trinkett’s intuition and mushroom telepathy puts her more in the category of an Effie functionally for WTTH, but if we’re comparing the dynamic to caspava… she’s the out there thinker, the outcast who follows her belief system and will follow it to the ends of the universe no matter what. For Ava that’s math and the universe itself (or its laws) and for Trinkett it’s this intense spirituality and connection to… what is also essentially the universe. The very fabric of being. When they were in Hood’s Pocket on earth that was the nature around them, but now it’s everything as they travel through the cosmos.
And then you have the asshole across the booth from them who is grumpy, and complains, but cares so so so so soooooo goddamn much that it should kill them. Like nuclear waste levels of a very specific brand of anxiety. The anxiety of being The Sane Person who has to keep everything from falling apart, which ironically makes you kind of insane. And they will dig their heels into the ground and give their opposite grief, but when it’s time to relent… they always do. Because even if they don’t have faith in whatever belief system their partner holds, they have absolute faith in their partner, and that’s enough. And it probably drives them insane that that’s enough.
Disgusting, give me one million please
