Every time Kurt comes around he asked me if I have something for Dave so I told him I would try to, but I don’t know now with my fingernail was ripped off. I don’t know if I can if I can do it you know so I should just write down stuff that would I hear and then Mail it off to him I guess but I don’t have enough money for a drum kit.

At least not my own maybe Taylor can open up an account so I can buy gear?

I’m three months clean no weed five months no alcohol so I kind of told myself I would do that for Emma cause you know it’s not good for her to think that I’m messed up all the time and I was really embarrassed about that time that that she came around at that party that was pretty messed up and it embarrass me at the point where I was crying my eyes out the whole rest of the night I feel like I let her down in the way and I know I did in the way and I don’t want to think that that’s all I do because I don’t like I do sit around and think about stuff to write and paint and but it’s not because of cannabis or booze. It’s just that’s all you see on TV. That’s all you see online is people getting messed up and I want to know the truth like This we make the music everything it comes from a different place and I wanted to show her that

You know you can make all this music you can make all this hard. You don’t have to be blasted 24 seven like people make it out to be. 

To me that’s bullshit she needs to know the truth and that’s why I’ve got clean and yeah, I just stop smoking weed cause my friend came down with cancer 

It totally messed my head up. I was thinking myself if she’s got it I know I have because I’ve been smoking a lot longer than her a lot stronger stuff as well so that’s how it goes. I guess you know, but I take it one day at a time, that’s what they told me in AA. That’s what my buddy told me.

I haven’t gone because I’m not really into the whole group chat thing but I do listen to some YouTube videos, AA chats and what not I want those a lot that helped George Bruno on YouTube helped

Also, I found this really good floor plan that I wanna have built someday maybe for a studio/house it’s a two-story Japanese style house, but I would like it built like southwestern almost And maybe make it one story instead of a true story just have to connect with like a hallway or a corridor. I think that would be awesome. That would be ideal. You know.

I’m not too keen on trusting Shayna .🤔 I think she’s in it for the wrong reasons personally.

I think it could possibly be badly on me like and like John and I, my buddy and we took music very seriously you know and I can’t. If she doesn’t. You know if she’s literally just looking for attention I can’t go for that you know what I mean.?

Anyways, I’ll look around for your record company email that way you’ll have mine and that way we can try to connect if you want. I bought an amp but I wanted a box but I could only all I could afford was a Rockville and I don’t even have things to plug it in properly yet.  

And I haven’t bought the guitar I wanna get I know I can still play a lefty bass but not good enough where I can take the stage so I don’t really know what to do there. Maybe I’ll just still write stuff down with it here on paper and that way, I can send it to you I don’t know.  🤷‍♂️

Hey Dave, Kurt wants me to learn three and four chord songs. If I play bass, that’s what he told me to do. 

But every time I try to go to guitar center or a place where they sell gear, he just tells me focus on the drums. This is your domain right here.  That is what he tells me.

So I’m looking at getting a lefty bass just because it’s easier for me to play because my cerebral palsy I’ve a hard time reaching the chords like I used to be able to cause my arm and my hands are just so messed up nowadays they’re so tight just from wear and tear and falls and what not over the years. When I played a righty acoustic guitar I had a hard time.

And I know for a fact on drums, I’m gonna have an issue with the kick drum. I’m only gonna be able to use 1 foot because if I use my left foot, it’s gonna start cramping up quicker than my right and once that locks up, it’s all over for me. I just start shaking and get massive amount of pain and I don’t want to go there.

There’s something I want to try on bass. It was something that Kristen said to Kurt years ago when I was showing him that I could drum in the woods when we were hanging out in Maine that first summer I had seen them. 

Kristen said to Kurt that I was drumming the bass parts instead of the drum parts to XStatic and I wanna try that again. I wanna see what that sounds like again because it’s been so long since I’ve done that.

And yeah, I remember him telling me that you were in two bands and I told him wow he must be a pretty busy guy and he laughed and said “ yeah … something like that “

Hey Dave what I thought was interesting and I wanted to let you know is that Hawkins said the same thing to Kurt that Dimebag said to him. That he was just overwhelmed by all the energies and what not and in what not and Kristen reassured him that things will get easier with time that’s what she told him. To Hawkins. 

It was funny cause Kurt told me to go sit outside while they talked you know in as I was leaving to go sit outside he said “so.. how has Dave changed over the years ?” Kurt was trying to catch up with him about you. 

And I remember I I knocked on the door cause I had to take a piss really bad now it’s like hey Kurt, you mean I gotta go to the bathroom so he’s like yeah sure and then Kristen told him that I gotta pee a lot all the time like I’ve always been that way since I was a kid.

And then after I was done, I came out of the bathroom and Kurt’s like (he said to me) “I know you want to be included so come sit down with us “ and then Hawkins asked me he’s like OK. He’s like I know who these two are but who are you ? and that’s when Kurt was was telling him about how like when I was a kid I could play stuff off of the first Foo Fighters album And I told him I really liked what he did drumming wise on “One by One” You know I did like what all I’m just I was young and cocky and I apologize to him about that what I said so yeah he told me you run a tight ship (work ethic wise) and I should be ready and I said I expect that from him you know because being a drummer and all that. I understand that mindset and seriousness of the way you go about making music.

It was funny though in the way, cause it was so humid that morning I talked to dime that he thought he was in Louisiana, but Kurt told him no he’s in Florida and that he’s like OK. How do I get back to Texas cause I wanna see my brother And that’s when they all of them they walked off you know cause he was showing them directions to get to this road to go that way and then from there, he said they can find his way home. 

And then Kristen told me have a good day at school and all that and I was like yeah I’ll try to you know. Then the bus came. Before I got on I asked Kurt and Kristen I was like hey you’re gonna be back when I get home and they’re like yeah maybe it depends if you’re good so I thought that was kind of funny too. So I promised them that I’d go about my day and just be on my best behavior.

Also Dave, when I saw Hawkins, he was wearing a dark blue shirt, pair of dark jeans, and some Converses.

So John and I will we do we got tired of playing never mind till the end so what we did and we would skip would get past the end of the album you know but we got tired of that so we did was we? We burned where we copied like two tapes from like we recorded it And then we played on two tapes and then him and I both two drum kits and we played the same song together 

And then I know I did was like we took like broom handles & taped them together put them together we taped them together and then what we did was we would reach over and press stop it like and then we’d run then we have a drink of water and then we talk and we press play and then we do it over again we did this. I think we filled up two CDs worth just jamming to endless nameless Over and over and just where we were having fun. You know we’re getting high and drunk and just having fun I don’t know where those are anymore. Like, where did those tapes go? I don’t have them. I don’t have that. I don’t have the tapes or the cds. I don’t know where they went, but it was kind of funny cause we were both dead set against The fan albums that people made for Nirvana. We thought there was a that was a waste of time, but then we went and did that for “endless nameless” hahaha !
