Putting the pr relationship aside, if this rumour turns out to be true, don't you think it's sad harry has entered this phase of doing shows just for breaking records? I thought he genuinely loved performing, but if he's doing 12 dates at Wembley and not other places in the UK just for the sake of breaking a record then he doesn't care about his fans, the music or about the craft. I've been saying it for months, he's been prioritising commercial success and being bigger that tswfit, but at least she cares about the craft and fans.

You're not the first person who has sent me the idea that there is something wrong with Harry playing lots of stadium dates and that somehow shows his character defects. I hope I've been clear that I think that this is bizarre and entitled take.

The starting point to this bizarre and entitled place - is terrible reasoning. You are making up a motivation for Harry, without evidence and in complete contradiction to logic and then judging him for it. The idea that Harry is doing shows just to break records is absurd. There are easier ways to break records than go on tour.

The fallacious reasoning is to treat the decision about the number of shows at any particular venue as if it's the same as the decision around the touring strategy. If Harry decided to do a large number of nights at Wembley - I'm sure the fact that the record is ten would influence the number he chose. But to leap from that to 'he's doing a residency at Wembley just to break records' is pretending that neither the business nor personal side of Harry's life exist and influence his decisions.

There are number of other bizarre entitled assumptions that rest on top of you ignoring both the business and personal experience of touring.

The first is suggesting that a residency model of performing is fundamentally different craft-wise from other models of touring. That's just stupid.

I also think it's a bizarre and entitled assumption that Harry should care about fans, when deciding how to tour. Harry gets to decide what is important to him when touring and under what conditions he'd be prepared to tour and fans get to decide if they want to buy tickets. That's the deal.

Harry gets to decide that the only way he wants to tour the UK is if he goes home every night. I find it very odd that people can't imagine why going on tour straight after COVID and then touring for two years straight might have left Harry feeling he needed to do things differently. But ultimately it doesn't matter if you are capable of seeing Harry as a person or not. The deal is still the same - Harry decides how he's willing to tour and fans decide if they're going to buy tickets.
