Goats and Lambs for you.
trying to figure out a hero name for my mha dr.... i want it to be kitsune themed, to match with the costume and the quirk (i can manipulate light and water to make illusions (and also do other stuff, focusing light all into one spot, basically waterbending, minus the healing, just stuff involving light or water), basically playing into the "trickster" aesthetic of kitsunes. i haven't actually put all that much thought into it, yet) but.... idk. can't really think of anything. any suggestions? (if anyone has any ideas for my quirk name, i definitely mind that, either ;])
You know, in the COTL fandom I see a lot of Narinder being indoctrinated into a cult where nobody knows his name and he's treated like a regular old follower by the flock. This is great. We LOVE this trope. However, may I offer Narinder being seen as some sort of patron saint like figure who isn't as revered as a god, but sort of considered a good luck charm and idol.
I mean think about it. He was The Lamb's first follower. He favored the lamb so much that they ascended to godhood. He's the reason they have the mighty lamb! Surely if some follower gets on Narinder's good side with trinkets, food, flattery and other gifts they'll get some sort of blessing too. No matter how much Narinder goes out of his way to make himself seem like a Bad Guy, through some crazy series of events everything he does ends up being a net positive.
To Narinder's complete and utter dismay he becomes The Ideal Worshipper everyone aspires to live up to. The Lamb does nothing to dispel these rumors and maybe even feeds into them a little. Some asshole added a huge stained glass portrait of Narinder to the temple, and when The Lamb finally marries him it's a fucking uproar.
Idk. Mindlessly devoted stupid followers my beloved. I can't write so just imagine the fanfiction in your head.
I just had a revolutionary idea guys what if Narinder liked the lamb a whole lot basically loved them and then they kissed about it
Minor Spoilers for COTL Unholy Alliance
I'm loving these new follower interactions so much. I'm not sure if they're bishop exclusive, but they sure have been the only ones this talkative!
Like...they all seem so in character, especially Kallamar.
Also, I can't bear to beat them in knucklebones. Look at this. Look at this face and tell me you wouldn't let him win every damn time too.
He looks pathetic. Soaking wet creature. You gave him a bath and hung him up to cry. He's adorable. I want to toss him against the wall and laugh at the wet slapping noise he makes. How did they match the sad pathetic little eyes of an evil cat so well. Brilliant. Breathing. Get this game twenty rewards instantly.
I think one of my favorite things about Cult of the Lamb is the inevitability of it all.
Let's just say the bishops thought better, a little harder, and decided not to send the final, prophesied lamb straight to Narinder's hands right away.
You know what Narinder would have done?
Waited.
Even if they welded a golden talisman to their neck and forced them to live for centuries in a prison, arms and legs tied and barely kept alive.
He would have waited.
He would have waited and waited until the prison crumbles and they had to make a new one. He would have waited until the bishops forgot even his name. He would have waited and waited until they made a final, fatal mistake and the key to his freedom was in his hands.
Because the funny thing about this game is that the story is clear from the start. You really might as well have argued with the ocean, because death is really fucking good at waiting for things, and everything comes to it in the end.
So with as many decisions as you, the player, can make, as incredibly far as you can bend the narrative, it's all gonna end up the same. It was gonna end up the same before you even downloaded the game. Before it was even made. It's as natural as water flowing to the lowest possible point and god damn it that shits cool as hell.
COTL post game/Unholy Alliance spoilers ahead! The wiki updated with The Bishops new unique thoughts. Here they are! I have no clue if the list is complete. If it's not please tell me so I can add the others!
As a disabled person this new update is. Man.
I'm so happy for them. I hope one day I can be like that too with my own body. I love the way the game goes about this. It feels really realistic and bittersweet.
I've always loved how COTL did their antagonists disabilities. It's subtle but not erasing. This update made me love it even more. The visual changes in the characters really show that they've accepted their defeat, accepted their new life, and accepted their disabilities and it's so awesome to see that in the characters I've come to love.
Anyway I'll stop Unholy Alliance posting now at least for today DKDHSOSJAKSKSHSJSKKAL
