Wanted Characters
Looking for a couple of characters for two of mine in an AU Pacific Rim role play (Brink). The Barton Cousin is currently the more important character, as he is needed as site-canon pilot for the Kokoda Backlash.
Brother In Blood and Arms
Wanted brother and potential co-pilot for Sherman "Tank" Mitchell.
Name: Leland "Bomber" Mitchell
Age: 24 years.
Sex: Male.
Nationality: American.
Occupation: Jaeger Academy Cadet; Ranger Candidate; Possible co-pilot to Sherman Mitchell.
Requirements:
Grew up as one of twelve thinking he and Sherman were twins.
A hot, violent temper.
Fully trained United States Marine; especially talented and aggressive in hand-to-hand combat.
Aware of his brother's PTSD and the cause of it; their father.
Smokes and drinks, particularly moonshine.
Instigator and trouble-maker; also the leader, responsible for dragging his brother out for 'fun'.
Answers to 'Bomber', possibly better than he does 'Leland'.
Plot Ideas:
Both the Mitchell brothers have just transferred from Sniper Training in the Marines to try their shot at piloting a jaeger. Both are still skeptical about things and are having a difficult time adjusting to the change in life. On top of this, they have to learn to go longer between nicotine fixes or get used to nicotine patches or gum. The ultimate question is; at the end of all this training, if they can even make it that far, will the world be able to survive the two of them sharing head space and control of a giant war machine? They are a lethal combination of skill, violent temper and instability caused by post-traumatic stress disorder. It's not a matter of if this powder keg will explode, it's a matter of when and where the blast will be directed. The ultimate goal for the pair of them is to achieve some level of success anywhere just to prove their old man wrong.

Occupation: Pilot of Kokoda Backlash; Mach III Jaeger. Hero.
Requirements:
Born in and grew up in Melbourne, Australia.
Lived with Tobias through college and for sometime after.
Enlisted for the Jaeger Academy with Tobias; got through it relatively easily.
Assigned to Backlash and has piloted her since she was completed.
Known for causing trouble and getting into brawls, usually because it's easier than trying to stop his cousin.
Must be a morning person just so that one of the two is alert for early morning drops.
Plot Ideas:
The Barton cousins are the longest serving active pilots in the Sydney Shatterdome, they’re also a couple of the most troublesome. The pair are coming off a suspension that has lasted a few months, one that they were put on thanks to Tobias’s temper. Who knew dangling rookies over guardrails several stories in the air and threatening to drop them was a stupid thing to do? Or stealing brownies for that matter? Just a couple of confirmed kills away from the record number, the grounding has been a bit maddening. The two now have to prove that they are still one of the best (if not the best) jaeger pilot teams in the world, deal with the fame that comes with it, and show that getting older isn’t slowing them down any. Sooner or later, that kill record WILL be theirs.
It'd be great if they could get that record without completely totaling Backlash in the process.

He'd actually managed to get to the mess hall showered, shaved and ready for the day, well, as ready as he could ever be. He actually had on real clothes instead of just his shorts, a t-shirt and his unlaced boots. It was a miracle. That, or maybe he was hoping that by not drawing attention like he usually did he'd get away with pretending it wasn't his birthday.
Oh no you don't, Captain Kangaroo. No you don't.
