Been thinking about these three, like usual. Also redesigned Dynol. Notes under the cut

They were built before Toby got his prostestetic, originally serving as a mobility aid/ service "animal"

They're programmed with an internal sensor capable of detecting when they might hurt someone, even accidentally, and overriding them to pull back or shut down

Their second legs can be lifted and used as arms or sat down down for added stability. Their main legs are weighted to handle to use of the extra arms

Their chest can store toys, their horns can be heated and used like lava lamps, and their abdomen makes bubbles

Their teeth and claws are softy and rubbery, and their fur is scented like blueberries

Has anyone other than myself read The Horsemistress Saga by Toby Bishop? Admittedly it's not always all that well-written. Some parts are kinda annoying. But! The concept is GOOD.

i lowkey want to either reboot it to be better as a fanfic on ao3 or write my own original series highly inspired by it...
