I want to know if there are seasons on Erid! Does it get really cold, or rainy, or dry? Which season do the prey animals they eat have thier babies? What holidays exist around hunting season? I want to learn about weather patterns completely different to earth. I want Rocky to be blown away at the concept of snow, and I want Grace to take his class on field trips to chase the dust tornadoes during Erid's version of summer. I want to know what they've named their constellations in the 50 years since they've been discovered. I want to Grace's kids to dare eachother to run as far as they can into the damp clouds that huddle low to the ground in the fall, sound dampening the denser you travel into it. I wanna know how thier infrastructure has developed to survive "Erid" quakes and other natural disasters. I want to know everything weird and alien and different about Erid and the culture of Eridians! I wanna hear thier folktales! I wanna listen to thier radio shows. Andy Weir has captured my curiosity for speculative xonobiology in a way I haven't felt since Orson Scott Cards "Speaker For The Dead." We barely know anything about the world and I want a 800 page field journal with illustrations and anatomical diagrams and scribbles in the margins from rocky and grace. PHM has revitalized my passion for reading, and I just want to know everything.
