“For those not in the know GSA's are clubs in high schools known as Gay Straight Alliances. These clubs are generally very friendly and talk about a variety of LGBT+ issues and topics. I was also in one when I was in high-school. (I'm 18)

This manga takes place within a fictional high-school in Atlanta Georgia known as Wuckten . It centers around the main protagonist Ryan Sato who's aromantic but questioning his sexual orientation. It also features a wide variety of PoC, disabled, and lgbt (of course) characters.

The manga is a slice of life dramedy that takes place within the characters live's and of course the GSA club.”

I'm confused should I complete my story first or will you accept a partial manuscript in the call for submissions? It said no but you recommended it. As always feel free to publish this ask. Also would a Demisexual and Demi/pan romantic protagonist be ok? Thanks for bothering with an ask and thank you for your time again - Adam.

The submission still needs to be complete for our general call, but there’s no close date on our general call. You can send it in whenever you finish the story.

And yes, Demi protagonist is fine. Any sexual/gender orientation that falls under the LGBTQ* umbrella is something we’re willing to consider.

So unfortunately I only have a partial manuscript for my story, so I won't be able to submit it for the contest anytime soon. I was wandering if you knew of any gsrm contests you, or any one else was doing in the future that would accept partial manuscripts? Also Feel free to make this ask public. I'm not aware of any other contests or what other publishers requirements are.

However, if you can't get something submitted in time for our Young Author Challenge, I'd encourage you to make it at least 15,000 words if you can, and send it in to our general submissions.
